Under the provisions of The Apprentices Act, 1961, Director, Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE), Bengaluru invites online applications from eligible candidates for Graduate / Diploma / ITI (Engineering) and General Stream - B.Com. / B.Sc. / B.A (Non Engineering) Apprenticeship Training for the Financial Year 2022-23 as per details below :-

1. Post Name: Graduate Apprentice (B.E./B.Tech./ Equivalent in following disciplines)

2. Total Vacancies: 75

3. Minimum Qualification: A degree in engineering or technology granted by a statutory University/ by an institution empowered to award such degrees by an Act of Parliament

1. Post Name: Technician (Diploma) Apprentice in following Engg. disciplines)

2. Total Vacancies: 20

3. Minimum Qualification:

(i) A diploma in engineering or technology granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Educational established by a State Government / by a University / by an Institute recognised by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to a diploma.

(ii) Sandwich course student who is undergoing training in order that he/ she may hold a diploma in Engg./Technology.

1. Post Name: ITI Apprentice Trainees

2. Total Vacancies: 25

3. Minimum Qualification:

(i) A certificate in vocational Course involving two years of study after the completion of the secondary stage of school education recognised by the All India Council for Technical education.

(ii) A sandwich course student who is undergoing training in order that he may hold a certificate mentioned in (i) above.

1. Post Name:Graduate Apprentice Trainees (General Stream)

2. Total Vacancies: 30

3. Minimum Qualification:

A degree granted by a statutory University/ by an institution empowered to award such degrees by an Act of Parliament / Educational Institutes established by a State Government / by an Institute recognised by the State Government or Central Government.

4. Stipend : Candidates finally selected for the Apprenticeship Training would be eligible for stipend as given below as per Govt. of India rules:

a. Engineering Stream

Graduate Apprentice (B.E./B.Tech./Eqvt.) : Rs.9000/-per month

Diploma Apprentice : Rs.8000/-per month

ITI Apprentice : Rs.7000/-per month

b. Non Engineering - General Stream

Graduate Apprentice (B.Com./ B.Sc. / B.A) : Rs.9000/-per month

आयु सीमा (Age Limit): Minimum Age - 18 years Maximum Age – 37 years

Selection Procedure

1. Graduate Apprentice Trainees (B.E / B.Tech. / Equivalent); Diploma Apprentice Trainees / ITI Apprentice Trainees / General Stream (B.Com. / B.Sc. / B.A) Apprentice Trainees: Depending upon the vacancies available in various disciplines, selection of candidates will be carried out by short listing on the basis of Academic Merit/Written Test/Interview as required, subject to satisfactory verification of the documents

2. Details of shortlisted candidates will be published in DRDO website. Candidates are advised to check regularly on the website for updates.

आवेदन करने का तरीका (How to apply)

चयन प्रकिया: अभ्यर्थी का चयन लिखित परीक्षा एवं साक्षात्कार में उनके प्रदर्शन के आधार पर किया जाएगा।

1. Applications are to be submitted online through the following website/link: rac.gov.in or drdo.gov.in (‘What’s New’ section)

2. Candidates are requested to fill up correct details against all the fields along with uploading of scanned copies of all the mandatory documents (as per list).

3. The marks obtained in the qualifying exam are to be mentioned in percentage. In case of CGPA, candidates are requested to convert the CGPA into percentage as per their university norms and the same will be verified during document verification.

4. Candidates are required to bring a signed printout of the application along with the originals of the documents submitted online at the time of joining at GTRE, Bengaluru.

5. Online Applications after the last date would NOT be accepted. Incomplete or partially filled application forms would not be accepted.

6. Important Dates :

a. Last date of submission of online application forms duly completed in all respects: 14th March 2022

b. Publishing of First list of shortlisted candidates for interview/written test in DRDO website: 25th March 2022

c. Acceptance by candidates to join GTRE as Apprenticeship Trainee: 31st March 2022

d. Interaction with the shortlisted candidates who have submitted acceptance to join (as per ‘c’ above): 11th April 2022 onwards

e. Probable date of declaration of finally selected candidates; Graduate (B.E / B.Tech. ) / Diploma / ITI & General Stream (B.Com. / B.Sc. / B.A) Apprenticeship Trainees (by E-mail / DRDO Website / SMS) & GTRE Notice Board: 22nd April 2022

f. Probable date of joining Apprenticeship Trainees at GTRE; Graduate (B.E / B.Tech.) / Diploma / ITI & General Stream (B.Com. / B.Sc. / B.A) (exact dates of joining shall be intimated along with the result): 02nd May 2022 onwards
