शैक्षणिक योग्यता (Educational Qualifications):
Accountant:
(i) Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or Department; or
(ii) With 5 years regular service in level 4 in the pay matrix (Rs. 25500-81100) and having successfully undergone Cash and Account Training at the Institute of Secretariat Training and Management; or
(iii) Employed in the organised Accountant Departments as auditor or Upper Division Clerk with five years regular service in level 4 in the pay matrix who have passed the subordinate Accounts service or equivalent examination.

Upper Division Clerk (UDC):
(i) Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or Department; or
(ii) With 8 years regular service in Level 2 in the pay matrix (Rs. 19900-63200) or equivalent in the parent cadre/Department.

सन १९५० में विशेषज्ञ समिति के बैठक में देश के अग्निशमन सेवा कर्मियों के लिए प्रशिक्षण हेतु महाविद्यालय स्थापना का विचार किया गया और राष्ट्रीय अग्निशमन सेवा महाविद्यालय की स्थापना रामपुर, उत्तरप्रदेश में सन १९५६ में की गई, तदनंतर इसे भौगोलिक एवं जलवायु की स्थिति को देखते हुए नागपुर में स्थानांतरित किया गया |

पाठ्यक्रमो के सफलतापूर्वक पूर्ण करने के उपरान्त महाविद्यालय प्रमाणपत्र, डिप्लोमा प्रदान करता है ; जिसे केन्द्र सरकार, राज्य सरकार, सार्वजनिक उपक्रमों और वाणिज्य समुदायों की मान्यता प्राप्त है | इसके अलावा राष्ट्रीय अग्निशमन सेवा महाविद्यालय, नागपुर का डिप्लोमा और उच्च डिप्लोमा मध्यम संवर्ग प्रबन्धको की नियुक्ति हेतु संघ लोक सेवा आयोग द्वारा भी मान्यता प्राप्त है |
