(iii) M.E. / M.Tech. in Computer Science/ Computer Science & Engineering/Information & Communication Technology/ Information Technology/ Information & Telecommunication Engineering/ Computer Applications OR B.Tech/M.Sc. in any of the above subjects with Post Graduate degree in Intellectual Property Law, (1st class or 60% on an aggregate or equivalent CGPA) OR B.E./B.Tech in any of the above subjects with Advanced Diploma from AcSIR with distinction OR Ph.D. (Submitted) in any of the science/engineering subjects in the area of ICT and related areas.

(iv) Ph.D. (submitted) in any science subject in the area of Plant Breeding/ Plant Genetics

(v) Ph.D. (Submitted) in any science subject in the area of Floriculture/Landscaping/ Urban Gardening

(vi) Ph.D. (Submitted) in any science subject in the area of Ecology/Chemical Ecology /Environmental Science/Environmental Engineering/GIS/ Remote Sensing/ Environmental Modelling/Artificial Intelligence

(vii) Ph.D. (Submitted) in any science subject in the area of Pharmaceutical Chemistry

(viii) Ph.D. (Submitted) in any science subject in the area of Cryptogamic Botany

(ix) Ph.D. (Submitted) in any science subject in the area of Analytical Chemistry

5. Desirable:

(i) The candidate should have अनुभव in the area of conventional breeding/ marker assisted breeding / QTL mapping /mutation breeding/genetic manipulation of economically important plants/ medicinal plants /floriculture crops. Work अनुभव in development of quality planting material, plant variety development and release, and improvement of quality traits in plants will have added advantage. The claims must be supported by publications/patents/new variety in the abovementioned areas.

(ii) The candidate should have अनुभव of pharmacological studies on animal models, mechanism(s) of action, pharmacokinetics studies and drug delivery systems for herbal drug development. The claims must be supported by publications/patents/products in the above-mentioned areas.

(iii) Knowledge and अनुभव in System Administration and computer networking.

(iv) Specialization in breeding and improvement of ornamental plants, and/or applications of biotechnological tools for plant improvement as evidenced by high quality research publications, and varieties released.

(v) Research work in ornamental crops / floricultural crops with focus on development of new varieties, and DUS testing. अनुभव in preparation and execution of landscape/ plant house plans. Good publications and released varieties.

(vi) Research work in bio-remediation of soil, air and water pollution with molecular and chemical approaches; Expertise and अनुभव in Remote Sensing, GIS, Chemical ecology and environmental modelling.

(vii) Research अनुभव in bioprospection, separation and characterization of plant metabolites with knowledge of handling sophisticated analytical equipment.

(viii) Taxonomy, germplasm collection, documentation, conservation, bioprospection and characterization of lower plants. अनुभव of working in Bryophytes is desirable.

(ix) अनुभव of handling sophisticated analytical equipment for bioprospection, separation of plant proteins, plant metabolites and characterization of recombinant proteins.

6. Job Specification:

(i) To undertake trait specific breeding for genetic improvement of economically important medicinal plants, nontraditional crops, and floriculture crops/ plants.

(ii) The selected candidate is expected to take up pharmacological and pharmacokinetics studies for herbal products, and herbal product development.

(iii) The selected candidate is expected to take charge of the System and Network Administration at the institute level, which includes installation, configuration and maintenance of software / systems hardware, network hardware / firmware, maintenance of network servers, development and updation of website, VPN gateways, intrusion detection systems, e-mail facilities and other IT related infrastructure.

(iv) To work in projects related to genetic improvement of ornamentals and flowering plants using conventional and molecular breeding approaches.

(v) Floriculture crop germplasm collection, characterization, and maintenance; development of new varieties of ornamental crops. Preparation and execution of garden/landscape plans including drawings/ design.

(vi) To carry out assessment of environmental quality/remediation, microbe-assisted phytoremediation, green house gas emission, toxicity and tolerance responses of plants to pollutions. Artificial Intelligence/GIS based studies, Chemical ecology and environmental modelling.

(vii) To undertake R&D activities in phytochemistry, isolation, purification and characterization of plant metabolites, bioprospection for product development.

(viii) Field surveys for collection and identification, taxonomic studies, bioprospection, conservation, and characterization of lower plants, particularly Bryophytes.

(ix) To undertake R&D activities in plant analytical chemistry, characterization of plant metabolites and industrially important molecules, compounds and maintenance of sophisticated analytical equipment.

चयन प्रकिया: अभ्यर्थी का चयन लिखित परीक्षा एवं साक्षात्कार में उनके प्रदर्शन के आधार पर किया जाएगा।

1. Eligible and interested candidates are required to apply ONLINE only through our official website https://www.nbri.res.in during the period from 06.12.2021 ( 10.00 A.M.) till 31.01.2022 ( upto 05.00 P.M.) No other mode of application will be accepted.

2. Candidates are requested to keep a copy of application print out for their record.

3. All the instructions for filing online applications is available at our website. Candidates are requested to read and follow instructions carefully for applying online.

4. To avoid any technical difficulty, candidates are advised to submit online application well in advance of the date of closing of online application.

5. Online Applications will be availabe on CSIR-NBRI website https://www.nbri.res.in. The website will be Opened on 06.12.2021 (10.00 a.m. onwards) and closed on 31.01.2022 (till 5.00 p.m.). It is mandatory to take the print out of the successfully submitted online application form, sign the same and attach the self attested mandatory documents and passport size photograph. The print out of the application along with the relevant documents must reach CSIR-NBRI on or before 21.02.2022 upto 6.00 p.m. i.e. within 21 days of the last date of the online application submission

6. The print out of the successfully submitted online application must be duly signed by the candidate and sent in an envelope superscribed "Application for the post of _______, Post Code _____, Area ______" (Advertisement No. 03/2021) by speed post/registered post only so as to reach on or before 21.02.2022 (upto 06.00 P.M.) to the following address : Controller of Administration, CSIR-राष्ट्रीय वनस्पति अनुसंधान संस्थान, Rana Pratap Marg, Lucknow-226001.

7. The said signed application must have one recent passposrt size coloured photograph, self-attested copies of the certificates, mark sheets, testimonials in support of age, educational qualifications, and अनुभव, and caste certificate (if applicable), certificate to be produced by EWS candidates, copy of E-RECEIPT of the application fee paid (if applicable) as enclosures.

8. Mere submission of online application without hardcopy (vice-e- versa) will not be considered.

9. Candidates should specifically note that the hardcopy of application(s) received after the closing date for any reason whatsoever (such as envelopes wrongly addressed, delivered elsewhere, postal delay etc.) will not be entertained by CSIR-NBRI.

10. Candidates applying for more than one post code should submit separate online applications alongwith separate application fee (if applicable), and the hardcopies of applications with a complete separate set of enclosures including separate e-receipt of the application fee, should be sent to aforementioned address.

11. Candidates of Indian origin settled abroad who are of proven merit as evidenced by their research work, if found suitable for the post may be considered by the Selection Committee, in absentia, on written request.

12. Applications from employees of Government Departments will be considered only if forwarded through proper channel, certified by the employer that the applicant, if selected, will be relieved within one month of the receipt of the appointment orders. However, advance copy of the print out of online application (Hard copy) may be submitted before the last date. Applications routed through proper channel should reach CSIR-NBRI at the earliest.

13. Application once made will not be allowed to be withdrawn and fees once paid will not be refunded on any count nor can it be held in reserve for any other recruitment or selection process.

14. The decision of the CSIR-NBRI/CSIR in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, mode of selection, and conduct of interview will be final and binding on the candidates and no interim enquiry or correspondence will be entertained in this connection from any individual or agency on behalf of a candidate.

15. Incomplete applications (i.e. without printout of the complet online application form, unsigned, without photograph and application fee (if applicable), applicable testimonials etc.) will not be entertained and will be summarily rejected.

16. Print out of the submitted filled-in online application form duly signed by the candidate along with the following documents must be sent by speed post/registered post only:

(i) Proof for remittance of application fee paid through online mode (E-reciept/Transaction reference), wherever applicable.

(ii) Self attested photocopy of Date of Birth Certificate (Matriculation or equivalent certificate for age proof.)

(iii) Self attested photocopies of educational qualification certificates and marksheets.

(iv) Self attested photocopy of Caste Certificate/EWS certificate/PwBD certificate, if applicable, in the prescribed Government of India (GOI) format signed by the specified authority, if applicable.

(v) Self-attested photocopies of अनुभव certificates, if any.

(vi) No objection certificate (NOC) / proper channel application, wherever applicable.

(vii) Self attested copies/reprints of Publications/ Research Papers/ Patents etc. if any.

राष्ट्रीय वनस्पति अनुसंधान संस्थान लखनऊ में स्थित एक संस्थान है। यह सीएसआईआर के अंतर्गत है, एवं आधुनिक जीवविज्ञान एवं टैक्सोनॉमी के क्षेत्रों से जुड़ा है। इसके निदेशक डॉ॰ राकेश तूली हैं। संस्थान के वैज्ञानिकों ने बोगनवेलिया की एक नयी प्रजाति विकसित की है, जिसका नाम लोस बानोस वैरियेगाता- जयंती रखा है।

यह संस्थान भारत की अग्रणी राष्ट्रीय प्रयोगशालाओं में से एक है जो कि वैज्ञानिक एवं औद्योगिक अनुसंधान परिषद, नई दिल्ली, के अन्तर्गत लखनऊ में कार्यरत है। यह संस्थान ‘राष्ट्रीय वनस्पति उद्यान’ के रूप में उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार के अंतर्गत कार्यरत था, जिसे 13 अप्रैल, 1953 को वैज्ञानिक तथा औद्योगिक अनुसंधान परिषद् ने अधिग्रहीत कर लिया। उस समय से यह संस्थान वनस्पति विज्ञान के क्षेत्र में परम्परागत अनुसंधान करता आ रहा है। समय के साथ इसमें नये-नये विषयों पर अनुसंधान कार्य किये गये, जिनमें पर्यावरण संबंधित व आनुवांशिक अध्ययन प्रमुख थे। अनुसंधान के बढ़ते महत्व व बदलते स्वरूप को ध्यान में रखकर 25 अक्टूबर, 1978 को इसका नाम बदलकर ‘राष्ट्रीय वनस्पति अनुसंधान संस्थान’ किया गया।
