शैक्षणिक योग्यता (Educational Qualifications):
(a) Posses a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or State Act in India; or any other educational institutions recognised as such or declared to be deemed as a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956;

(b) Posses the basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and भर्ती (General) Rules, 1967; and

(c) Posses adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both. 5. The candidate appointed by direct selection shall be required to get himself registered with the Council of Architecture, New Delhi under the Architect’s Act, 1972 at the time of his appointment, if he is not so registered.

However, the name of the Gujarat Public Service Commission is non-existent in the state, there can be no two commissions for the same purpose, so the name of the Mandal "Gujarat" from the Resolution No. KBY-106-RR11-G6 of the SWA Department dated 01-08-190. The secondary service is called "Sandagi Mandal". This office has the status of the office of the head of the department.
