शैक्षणिक योग्यता (Educational Qualifications):
Field Worker: 12th pass in science subjects with two years अनुभव in field works from Government institution. *B.Sc. degree shall be treated as 3 years अनुभव.
Project Technician-I: High school *or equivalent with one year अनुभव in laboratory (Biological Science/Field work from a Government institution. Or certificate course of one year in related subject. * Intermediate with science subjects shall be treated as equivalent to 2 years अनुभव.
Project Technician-II: High school *or equivalent with five years अनुभव in laboratory (biological science/Field work from a Government institution. Or certificate course of one year in related subject. * Intermediate with science subjects and B.Sc. shall be treated as equivalent to 2 and 3 years अनुभव respectively.
Laboratory Technician: 12th pass in science subjects and two years diploma in Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) OR 12th pass in Science subjects and one year DMLT plus one year laboratory अनुभव in a recognized organisation OR two years laboratory अनुभव* in Government recognized organisation. *B.Sc. degree shall be treated as 3 years अनुभव.
Project Technical Officer: Graduate in Sociology/Social Science/Social Work from a recognized university with three years work अनुभव in Sociology/Social Science/Social Work from a recognized institution OR Master's degree in Sociology/Social Science/Social Work.
Scientist-B: MBBS Degree with 02 years Research/Teaching अनुभव. OR ative Om MD in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from a recognized university.
Scientist-C: Post Graduate Degree (MD/MS/DNB in Microbiology/Community Medicine/PSM/Biochemistry) after MBBS with one year अनुभव. OR Postgraduate diploma in Medical subject after MBBS with two years अनुभव. OR MBBS degree with 04 years अनुभव in medical subjects after MBBS Degree.

भारतीय आयुर्विज्ञान अुनसंधान परिषद, नई दिल्ली के छे क्षेत्रीय केन्द्रो में से एक क्षेत्रीय आयुर्विज्ञान अनुसंधान केन्द्र (आई.सी.एम.आर) पोर्ट ब्लेयर, है। इस केन्द्र की स्थापना सन् 1983 में अण्डमान तथा निकोबार द्वीप समूह में प्रचलित संक्रामक व गैर संक्रामक रोगो की जैव-स्वास्थ्य अनुसंधान कार्यान्वयन उददेश्य के लिए विशेष रूप से स्थानीय आदिवासियों के स्वास्थ्य समस्याओं पर तथा तकनीकी जनबल तैयार करने हेतु की गई थी। परंतु, गत दो पंचवर्षीय योजनाओ से, इस केन्द्र ने अपने कार्य को मान्यता दिलाई तथा अपनी उददेश्य की प्राप्ति हेतु तेजी से आगे बढा।
