Skills / Eligibility

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the Temporary Positions under the Public Health Research And Services (PHRS) scheme of RGCB at the Medical Laboratory Services Facility at General Hospital, Pala, Kottayam.

3. Essential Qualifications: BSc-MLT or DMLT approved by the Directorate of Medical Education or equivalent

4. Essential Previous अनुभव: Adequate knowledge of medical biochemistry, hematology, clinical pathology and medical microbiology.

5. Consolidated Monthly Remuneration (Rupees): 10,000

3. Essential Qualifications: MSc (Medical Microbiology) from a duly approved University

4. Essential Previous अनुभव:

a. Minimum of Five years अनुभव in a well equipped clinical laboratory with "hands on" expertise.

b. Knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).

c. Knowledge of latest and current clinical microbiology.

d. Expertise in operating, calibrating & maintaining modern automated analyzers

e. Knowledge of quality assurance protocols and management procedures as prescribed by NABL & NABH.

5. Consolidated Monthly Remuneration (Rupees): 10,000

Selection Procedure

The selection will be purely on temporary basis and the candidates will not have any claim for any regular or temporary appointment at RGCB by virtue of this position.

1. Last date for receiving completed applications is April 15, 2022.

2. Candidates shortlisted based on possession of essential qualifications described in the advertisement will be called for a selection interview in person or on virtual mode. No TA or DA will be paid for attending the selection procedures at RGCB. Decision of the duly constituted Selection Committee will be final and no further correspondence or enquires on this will be entertained.

The Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB) is a growing phenomenon. Located in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala, RGCB began in 1990 amongst humble surroundings as a small charitable society called the Centre for Development of Education, Science and Technology (C-DEST). In 1991, recognizing its potential, the C-DEST was made a “Grant-in-Aid” institute of the Government of Kerala and renamed as Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Development of Education, Science and Technology (RGC-DEST), becoming the first institute in the country to be named after Sri Rajiv Gandhi, former Prime Minster of India.
