Skills / Eligibility

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for one position of Project Assistant in the Ramalingaswami Fellowship project entitled "Elucidate the role of small RNA in Neurodegenerative diseases" in the laboratory of Dr. Rajeeve Sivadasan at राजीव गांधी जैव प्रौद्योगिकी सेंटर, Thiruvananthapuram.

3. Essential Qualifications:

a) The candidate must have consistent academic record with a first class Master's Degree in any branch of life sciences, preferably Neurobiology/Cell Biology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology.

b) The candidate should have good knowledge of molecular biology, animal handling, cell culture and with a minimum five months of laboratory अनुभव would be preferred.

4. Desirable Qualifications: As the work includes cell culture, molecular biology, neurobiology, animal handling and cell biology, prior अनुभव is desirable.

5. Emolument: ₹ 12,000/- + applicable HRA per month.

6. Duration: Initially for a period of one year and extendable up to three years or till termination of the project, whichever is earlier based on performance evaluation.

Selection Procedure

Only those fulfilling the above criteria need apply. Applicants will be short listed for the ONLINE selection interview based on eligibility criteria. Selection of suitable candidates will be made based on qualifications and performance in the selection interview.

चयन प्रकिया: अभ्यर्थी का चयन लिखित परीक्षा एवं साक्षात्कार में उनके प्रदर्शन के आधार पर किया जाएगा।

1. Suitably qualified candidates may send applications in the prescribed format with a write-up in 100 to 150 (max) words why you applied for this position and what are your future plans, a photograph, a copy of full resume indicating the percentage of marks obtained and scanned copies of original certificates/credentials and अनुभव to reach the undersigned only through Email on or before March 14, 2022. Candidates who are currently working in Government firms should send applications through proper channel.

2. The Application form along with all supporting documents should be submitted as a single PDF file to [email protected] The Advertisement number along with the position for which the candidate is applying should be mentioned in the 'SUBJECT' part of the Email. If a candidate wishes to apply for different positions, separate application forms should be submitted for each position. Selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co terminus with end of the project.

3. Applications which are not in the prescribed format will summarily be rejected.
