शैक्षणिक योग्यता (Educational Qualifications): Any Post Graduate

It is proposed to fill up one post of Director General (DG) in the Pay Band PB-4, Rs. 37400 - 67000/- + GP Rs. 10000/-(pre-revised) by direct recruitment/ deputation basis including short term contract(ISTC) in Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NY KS), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports through the process of Search-cum-Selection Committee. DG, NY KS is the administrative head of the organisation. He/She assists the Department of Youth Affairs in the policy formulation and implementing programmes/activities of the Department relating to youth matters.

3. Scale of Pay: Pay Band PB-4 Rs.37400-67,000 , + GP Rs. 10,000/- (level-14 Basic pay 144200 to 218200/- as per 7th CPC). The post carries allowances and benefits as admissible to this grade in Govt. of India.

4. I. Direct भर्ती - Education and other qualification:

a) Post Graduate Degree from a recognized University.

b) 12 years अनुभव in leadership position in the field of Youth development, Voluntary action, Social & Youth mobilization, awareness campaign.

II. Deputation/ Including Short Term Contract (ISTC) - Officers under Central Govt./ State Govt. / Public Sector Undertakings / Statutory, Semi- Govt. or Autonomous Organization:

(a) (i) Holding analogous post on regular basis;

(ii) with 3 years of regular service in post with Pay Structure PB-4 Rs.37,400-67,000 + GP Rs.8700/-

(b) Possessing the qualifications prescribed for direct recruit (i.e.- Post Graduate Degree from a recognized University & 12 years अनुभव in leadership position in the field of Youth development, Voluntary action, Social & Youth mobilization, awareness campaign.)

Selection Procedure

1. Mere submission of application and documents does not entitle the selection of the candidate for the post. The appointment will be subject to the recommendation of Search- Cum-Selection Committee and final approval of Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.

2. Selection will be based on direct recruitment/ deputation basis including short term contract(ISTC)

ग्रामीण युवाओं को राष्ट्र निर्माण की प्रक्रिया में भाग लेने और इसके साथ साथ उनके व्यक्तित्व एवं कौशल विकास के सुअवसर उपलब्ध कराने के उद्देश्य से नेहरू युवा केन्दों की स्थापना1972 की गई थी। इन केन्द्रों के कार्य को देखने के लिए वर्ष 1987-88 में नेहरू युवा केन्द्र संगठन (नेयुकेसं) की स्थापना युवा कार्यक्रम एवं खेल मंत्रालय के अंतर्गत स्वायत्त शासी संस्था के रूप में की गई थी। नेयुकेसं विश्व में अपने प्रकार की जमीनी स्तरीय सबसे बडी स्वयंसेवी संस्था है। यह स्वैच्छिकता, स्व-सहायता और सामुदायिक प्रतिभागिता के सिद्धांतों के आधार पर 13-35 वर्ष के युवाओं की शक्ति को सही दिशा देता है।

इन वर्षों में नेहरू युवा केन्द्र संगठन ने, जहा इसके नेहरू युवा केन्द्र स्थापित हैं वहा गांवों में युवा मंडलों का नेटवर्क स्थापित किया है। युवा मंडलों के गठन द्वारा विकास हेतु युवा शक्ति का उपयोग करने के लिए क्षेत्रों की पहचान करना नेहरू युवा केन्द्र संगठन का मुख्य लक्ष्य है। यह युवा मंडल जमीनी स्तर पर ग्राम स्तरीय युवाओं के स्वैच्छिक कार्य समूह होते हैं जो कि युवाओं को राष्ट्र निर्माण की गतिविधियों में शामिल करते हैं। युवा मंडलों के इस नेटवर्क में ही नेहरू युवा केन्द्र संगठन की मुख्य शक्ति निहित है। युवा मंडल ग्राम आधारित संस्थाएॅं हैं, जो कि सामुदायिक विकास और युवा सशक्तिकरण के लिए निरंतर कार्यरत हैं।
