शैक्षणिक योग्यता (Educational Qualifications):
Chairperson: A postgraduate degree in dentistry from any University or institutes of national importance having outstanding ability, proven administrative capacity and integrity.

Secretary: A postgraduate degree in any discipline preferably related to Dental or Public Health or Health Administration from any University or Institute.

Part-time Members: A postgraduate degree in any discipline of management or law or medical ethics or health research or consumer or patients rights advocacy or science and technology or economics and having outstanding ability and integrity.

President: A postgraduate degree in any discipline of dentistry from any University or Institute having outstanding ability, proven administrative capacity and integrity.

आयु सीमा (Age Limit): Maximum 55 Years.

चयन प्रकिया: अभ्यर्थी का चयन लिखित परीक्षा एवं साक्षात्कार में उनके प्रदर्शन के आधार पर किया जाएगा।

The qualification prescribed is the minimum requirement and the same does not automatically make candidates eligible for the position. Details must be filled in the desired format (proforma), failing which the application will not be considered. Based on the information provided as part of the proforma, the SSC will shortlist the candidates and follow a process for finalization as found appropriate by the members of the SSC. Candidates shortlisted will have to produce all relevant original documents in proof of details furnished in their application as and when requested by the SSC.

स्वास्थ्य अनुसंधान विभाग को औपचारिक रूप से विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी तथा पृथ्वी विज्ञान मंत्री द्वारा 5 अक्टूबर 2007 को शुरू किया गया था में एक समारोह के लिए स्वास्थ्य एवं परिवार कल्याण मंत्री की अध्यक्षता में, उपस्थिति, अन्य बातों के साथ में राज्य मंत्री की स्वास्थ्य एवं परिवार कल्याण।
