शैक्षणिक योग्यता (Educational Qualifications):
1. Senior Private Secretary: Holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or With two years of regular service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in PB-2 of Rs. 9300-34800 with Grade Pay of Rs. 4600, or With six years of regular service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in P13-2 of Rs. 9300-34800 with Grade Pay of Rs. 4200, and
Possessing proficiency in shorthand (English/ Hindi).
2. Sr.Inspector (Technical): Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Electronics and Communication Engineering or Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from a recognized University or Institution.
Or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Electronics and Communication Engineering or Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from a recognized University.
3. Upper Division Clerk (UDC): Holding analogous posts on a regular basis; or With Eight Years of regular Service in the grade of Lower Division Clark or equivalent.

नागर विमानन महानिदेशालय (डीजीसीए) नागर विमानन क्षेत्र में नियामक निकाय है जो कि मुख्यवत: संरक्षा संबंधी मामलों को देखती है। यह भारत के लिए/से विमान परिवहन सेवाओं के विनियमन तथा नागर विमानन विनियमों, विमान सुरक्षा तथा उड़नयोग्य ता मानदंडों को लागू करने के लिए उत्र्विमदायी है। डीजीसीए अंतरराष्ट्रीोय नागर विमानन संगठन (इकाओ) के साथ सभी विनियामक कार्यों में समन्वोयन का कार्य भी करता है। भारत विमानन उद्योग वैश्विगक रूप से सबसे तीव्र विकास करने वाला सेक्टनर है। आधे दशक के पूर्व में उदारीकरण का अभियान आरंभ होने के परिणामस्व्रूप इस सेक्टर में तेजी से बदलाव आया है। भारत में नागर विमानन उद्योग की मूल शुरूआत 1912 में हुई जब पहली विमान उड़ान कराची तथा दिल्ली के बीच यू;के. की इम्पीहरियल एयरवेज के सहयोग से इंडियन स्टेकट एयर सर्विसेज द्वारा शुरू की गई। यह एक इम्पी;रियल एयरवेज का लंदन-कराची उड़ान का विस्ता्र था। वर्ष 1932 में, जेआरडी टाटा द्वारा संस्थाीपित टाटा एयरलाइन पहली भारतीय एयरलाइन थी।
