शैक्षणिक योग्यता (Educational Qualifications): Any Bachelors Degree
Applications are invited ONLY THROUGH ONLINE MODE (https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in) from Indian Citizens, in the prescribed format, from qualified and eligible candidates for filling up of the following posts sanctioned to the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission in the State of Tamil Nadu:

3. वेतन: As per Rule 3 of the Tamil Nadu Consumer Protection (वेतन, Allowances and Conditions of Service of President and सदस्यs of the State Commission and District Commission) Rules, 2021.
4. Minimum Eligibility :
(a) The candidate applying for the post/s notified above, must necessarily know to read, write and speak Tamil.
(b) सदस्य:- The candidate should possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised University and is a person of ability, integrity and standing, and having special knowledge and professional अनुभव of not less than fifteen years in consumer affairs, law, public affairs, administration, economics, commerce, industry, finance, management, engineering, technology, public health or medicine.
5. Term of Office:- The selected President / सदस्य of the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission in the State of Tamil Nadu shall hold office for a term of four years or upto the age of sixty five years, whichever is earlier and shall be eligible for reappointment for another term of four years subject to the age limit of sixty five years, and such reappointment is made on the basis of the recommendation of the Selection Committee.

आयु सीमा (Age Limit): Age:- (as on 01.07.2021) A Candidate (applying for the post of सदस्य) must have attained the age of 35 years.
Selection Procedure
The selection of candidates will be based on:
(a) Written Examination (75 marks): The written Examination consists of 75 multiple choice objective type questions. The question papers will be in bi-lingual i.e, in English and Tamil. In case of any inconsistency between English and Tamil versions of the questions, the English version will prevail over the Tamil version. The candidates will be called upon for viva-voce test based on the marks secured in the written examination and the marks obtained in the Written Examination shall be taken into account for determining the order of merit for final selection of the candidates.
(b) Viva-voce. (for 25 marks) (minimum qualifying marks 8) The candidates for viva-voce will be shortlisted based on the marks secured in the Written Examination in the ratio of 1:5 or such other ratio as may be determined by the Selection Committee. Such shortlisting will be done based on the marks obtained in the written examination, fulfillment of eligibility criteria, अनुभव and achievements of the candidates, as stated by them, with proof, in their applications.
i) The decision of the Selection Committee in this regard shall be final and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained. The object of the viva-voce test is to assess the suitability of the candidate, for judging their mental alertness, general knowledge, clear and logical exposition, attitude, ethics, power of assimilation, power of communication, character, intellectual depth, his/her tact and ability to handle various situations in the Court / Administrative / Management Skills.
(c) Hall Ticket for written examination / viva – voce will not be sent by post. The candidates should download the Hall Tickets only from the website https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in.
(d) The Government reserves the right either to postpone or cancel this notification at any point of time without assigning any reason.
(e) No TA / DA / Accommodation / Conveyance will be provided to the Candidates who are required to attend the Written Examination / Oral Test.

चयन प्रकिया: अभ्यर्थी का चयन लिखित परीक्षा एवं साक्षात्कार में उनके प्रदर्शन के आधार पर किया जाएगा।
