Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) invites application for the following positions to work in the research projects:
1. Post Name: Senior Research Fellow
2. No. of positions: 01
3. Educational Qualification / Skill: M.Sc in Zoology / Genetics / Entomology / Molecular Biology / Biotechnology/ Biosciences or equivalent areas with minimum two years of research अनुभव in handling and culturing of Drosophila melanogaster.
4. Desirable:- Candidates should also have knowledge of Drosophila dissections, genetics and molecular Biology (RNA extraction and qRT-PCR). Ph.D candidates (thesis submitted) with molecular biology and microscopy knowledge are preferred
5. Project Title: Spaceflight – induced changes in kidney stone formation in Drosophila melanogaster (Gaganyaan Project)

3. Educational Qualification / Skill:
(i) M.Sc in Physics/ Astrophysics/ Astronomy/ Space Science. OR
(ii) MS in Physics or equivalent. OR
(iii) MS in Astronomy & Astrophysics. OR B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech degree in any branch. In addition, the candidate is recommended to have successfully completed a national eligibility test in (i) UGC-CSIR NET in Physical Sciences or (ii) GATE in Physics or (iii) JEST in Physics.

Only short listed candidates will be called for written test/interview as the case may be. Candidates possessing advertised qualification, skill, अनुभव etc., alone will be allowed to attend the written test/interview.
