a) The भारतीय प्रबंधन संस्थान कलकत्ता (IIMC) invites applications for faculty positions in the areas of Business Ethics & Communications, Economics, Finance & Control, Human Resource Management, Strategic Management, Marketing, Management Information Systems, Operations Management, Organizational Behaviour and Public Policy and Management (please see below for additional details on the requirement in specific areas).

b) Candidates are expected to conduct high-quality research, contribute to our vibrant and expanding programs at the post-graduate and doctoral levels, participate in the Institute’s engagement with the professional community, and engage in administration/service to the academic and research communities. Endowed chair positions may be available for exceptional candidates. Candidates should have an excellent academic record, good communication skills, a commitment to high-quality learning, and demonstrated ability/potential to carry out original and creative research.

1. Name of the Post: संकाय

2. Professor: Ph.D. with first class at the preceding degree or equivalent in the appropriate area with a very good academic record and a minimum of ten years of Teaching/Industry/Research अनुभव of which at least four years should be at the level of Associate Professor at IIMs or other peer institutes in India/ abroad.

3. Associate Professor: Ph.D. with first class at the preceding degree or equivalent in the appropriate area with a very good academic record throughout and a minimum of six years of Teaching/Industry/Research अनुभव, of which at least three years should be at the level of Assistant Professor at IIMs or other peer institutes in India/ abroad.

4. Assistant Professor: Ph.D. with first class at the preceding degree or equivalent in the appropriate area with a very good academic record throughout and at least three years of industrial/research/teaching अनुभव is desirable, excluding, however, the अनुभव gained while pursuing Ph.D.

5. For all regular faculty positions, candidates with proven track records of publications in reputed peer-reviewed journals would be preferred. Demonstrated success in teaching is desirable.

6. For an appointment into a regular faculty cadre (Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor), there would be a minimum probation period of 2 years.

7. वेतन and Perquisites will be as per Government of India norms.

Selection Procedure

The Institute will communicate only with short-listed candidates. Short-listed candidates will be required to (a) make a seminar presentation on a research topic of their choice and (b) appear in a personal interview with the संकाय Selection Committee.
