भारतीय प्राकृतिक राल एवं गोंद संस्थान (भा प्रा रा गों सं) राष्ट्रीय एवं अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय सहयोग के अतिरिक्त लाख के सभी पहलुओं तथा सभी प्राकृतिक राल व गोंद तथा गोंद-राल के प्रसंस्करण, उत्पाद विकास, प्रशिक्षण, सूचना संग्रहण, प्रौद्योगिकी प्रसार सम्बंधी अनुसंधान एवं विकास के लिए राष्ट्रीय स्तर का नोडल संस्थान है।
भारतीय लाख उद्योग की स्थिति की जाँच एवं इसके विकास के लिए भारत की तत्कालीन शाही सरकार द्वारा गठित लिंडसे-हार्लो समिति की अनुशंसा पर 20 सितम्बर 1924 को यह संस्थान अस्तित्व में आया। इसी समिति की सलाह पर लाख व्यापारियों ने मिलकर भारतीय लाख अनुसंधान संस्थान (भा ला अनु सं) की आधारशिला रखी।
