Selection Procedure

i. The candidates who have acquired the essential qualification as mentioned at Sr.No.3 above and must have qualified the GATE-2021 (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2021) conducted by designated NT in corresponding paper i.e. Electrical Engineering (EE) shall only be eligible to be considered forselection.

ii. The selection ofthe candidatesin each category would be done by the HPUs from the eligible candidates as given in para-(i) above, on the basis of result of the GATE-2021 (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering- 2021) & Socio-economic criteria and अनुभव, in the respective discipline as perrequirement of HPUs.

iii. The qualifying marksin respect of GATE-2021 (minimum cut-off)shall be as declared by GATE-2021 Organizing Institute i.e. NT Bombay, Mumbai in 2021 for respective GATE paper/ discipline/ category given as under

Category as perGATE-2021 ScoreCard , Categories covered forthe purpose of determining qualifying marks (Minimum Cut-offmarks) : 

a) General - General, ESM-Gen & ESP-Gen Category candidates of Haryana Domicile only and General/ Reserved Category candidates of States otherthan Haryana.

b) SC/ST/PwD - SC, ESM-SC, ESP-SC & PwD Category candidates of Haryana Domicile only.

c) OBC (NCL)/ EWS - BC-A, BC-B, ESM-BC-A&B, ESP-BC-A&B and EWS Category candidates of Haryana Domicile only

1. The scheme of marksin respect ofselection to सहायक अभियंता (Group B) postshall comprise oftotal 100 marks, which is detailed below:- 1.Weightage ofGATE Exam: 80 marks[The normalized GATE Marks(out of 100) would be converted/scaled out of 80 Marks bymultiplying with 0.8]

2.Socio-economic criteria and अनुभव: 20 marks The marksfor अनुभव and some objective socio-economic criteria are to be allocated asfollows:-

(a)If neither the applicant nor any person from among the applicant'sfamily viz. father, mother, spouse, brother, and Son is, was or has been a regular employee in any Department/Board/Corporation/Company/ StatutoryBody/Commission/ Authority of Government of Haryana or any other State Government or Government ofIndia.(10 marks)

(b)ifthe applicant is:- a.aWidow ; or b.the first orthe second child and hisfather had died before attaining the age of 42 years; or c.the first orthe second child and hisfather had died before the applicant had attained the age of 15 years.(10 marks)

(c)Ifthe applicant belongsto such a denotified tribe (VimuktJatis and Tapriwas Jatis) or Nomadic tribe of the State of Haryana which is neither a Scheduled Caste nor a Backward Class.(10 marks)

(d)अनुभव: One mark for each year or part thereof exceeding six months of अनुभव, out of a maximum ofsixteen years, on the same or a higher post in any Department/ Board/ Corporation/ Company/ Statutory Body/ Commission/ Authority of Government of Haryana. No marksshall be awarded for any period lessthan sixmonths.(Maximum of 16marks)

V. The selection process consist of marks obtained (80% normalized marks out of 100) 80 marksin the corresponding paper of GATE-2021 and 20 marks of Socio-economic criteria and अनुभव. No interview will be carried out for the posts being advertised by HPUs. Appointments will be made on the basis of the GATE-2021 result and Socio-Economic criteria and अनुभव. GATE result of 2020 or priorwill not be valid.

vi. The applicant isrequired to fill up the normalized marks(out of 100) obtained in GATE2021, during online submission of application.

vii. Besidesthis, Educational qualifications must be from a recognized Institution/ University/ Board.

viii. In case total marks out of 100 (including weightage of 80 marksrationalize from Normalized marks of GATE-2021 and 20 marks of Socio-Economic criteria and अनुभव) of two or more candidates are equal then candidate olderin agewould be considered higherin merit. Further, in case age is also equal then candidate having more marks in essential qualification would be considered higherin merit.

ix. The shortlisted eligible candidates numbering 2 times of advertised postsfor a particular category (subject to minimum 4 nos.) would be called for verification/checking of original documents/ certificates in order of Merit prepared on the basis of selection criteria mentioned above. The Nigam at its sole discretion may give extended chances to a candidate who due to some genuine constraints could not appear on scheduled date and time fixed for verification of original documents and certificates.

x. Waiting list equivalentto 10% (subject to minimum 2) ofthe posts advertised for a particular category will be prepared. The personsfrom the waiting list will be offered appointment against all vacanciesfalling vacant for any reason including due to resignation/ death of newly selected/ appointed incumbents during the period of validity ofthe waiting list. The waiting list would be valid for one year from the date of declaration of result in terms of Instruction issued vide memo No. 42/43/84-5GSI dated 20.01.1988 and amended from time to time.

xi. Offer of Appointment will be issued by respective HPUsto the selected candidatesin the order of category wise Merit prepared on the basis of GATE-2021 result & Socio-economic criteria and अनुभव and as per the preference indicated by the candidate in the application form and based on the requirement of HPUs.

xii. The selected candidatesfor the post of सहायक अभियंता will produce Medical Fitness certificate required forfirstentry into servicefrom theCivil Surgeon ofany district in Haryana State before joining the services
