शैक्षणिक योग्यता (Educational Qualifications):
Obstetrician/ Gynaecologist: MBBS with MD (Obstetrics and Gynecology) or MBBS with Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynecology from colleges recognized by NMC/MCI and registration with MCI.

Paediatrician: MBBS with MD (Pediatrics) or MBBS with Diploma in Child Health from colleges recognized by NMC/MCI and registration with MCI.

General Surgeon: MBBS with MS General Surgery from colleges recognized by NMC/MCI and registration with MCI.

Anaesthetist: MBBS with MD (Anaesthesia) or Post-Graduate Diploma in Anesthesia from colleges recognized by NMC/MCI and registration with MCI.

Orthopaedic Surgeon: MBBS with MS in (Orthopedic Surgery) or MBBS with Diploma in Orthopedic Surgery from colleges recognized by NMC/MCI and registration with MCI.

Dentist: BDS/MDS from colleges recognized by Dental Council of India and Registration with DCI.

चेन्नई नगर निगम (तमिल: சென்னை மாநகராட்சி, चेन्नई कार्पोरेशन) चेन्नई शहर का अनुरक्षण करने वाली नागर संस्था है। यह भारत की सबसे पुरानी निगम संस्था है। चेन्नई शहर का प्रशासन चेन्नई नगर निगम के पास है। १६८८ में स्थापित हुआ यह नगर निगम भारत में ही नहीं, ब्रिटेन के बाहर किसी भी राष्ट्रमंडल देश में सबसे पहला नगर निगम है।[2] इसमें १५५ पार्षद है, जो चेन्नई के १५५ वार्डों का प्रतिनिधित्व करते हैं, जिनका चुनाव सीधे चेन्नई की जनता करती है। फिर ये चुने हुये पार्षद अपने आप में से ही एक महापौर एवं एक उप-महापौर चुनते हैं जो छः समितियों का संचालन करता है। चेन्नई, तमिल नाडु राज्य की राजधानी होने से राज्य की कार्यपालिका और न्यायपालिका के मुख्यालय शहर में मुख्य रूप से फोर्ट सेंट जॉर्ज में सचिवालय इमारत में और शेष कार्यालय शहर में विभिन्न स्थानों पर अनेक इमारतों में स्थित हैं। मद्रास उच्च न्यायालय का अधिकार-क्षेत्र तमिल नाडु राज्य और पुदुच्चेरी तक है। यह राज्य की सर्वोच्च न्याय संस्था है और चेन्नई में ही स्थापित है। चेन्नई में तीन लोकसभा निर्वाचन क्षेत्र हैं – चेन्नई उत्तर, चेन्नई मध्य और चेन्नई दक्षिण और १८ विधान-सभा निर्वाचन क्षेत्र हैं।
