शैक्षणिक योग्यता (Educational Qualifications): M.Sc
Applications are invited for the purely temporary posts of 02 Project Biologist, initially for one year but extendable maximum upto December 2023 based on performance and requirement in ZSI, under the project externally funded consultancy projects. The details of the number of project staff and project provided below:
1. Post Name: Project Biologist

3. Project: Species/Area specific Human Wildlife Conflict Management Baseline Survey and development of comprehensive strategy for its mitigation in selected District of HP.
4. Project Objectives:
i. To understand the socio-economic status of the local communities and the assess the magnitude of human-wildlife conflicts in the study landscape through field surveys;
ii. Human-wildlife conflict hot spot mapping and zone map preparation in the study landscape
iii. To develop species/area specific human-wildlife conflict management strategy and mitigation plan for the districts under JICA project.
5. Place of Work: The selected candidates will have to travel extensively indifferent districts of Himachal Pradesh and may be posted for a longer duration, based on requirements or any other places as per the project requirements including HQ at Kolkata.
6. Remuneration: Project Biologist (PB) @ 30,000/- consolidated
7. Qualification: M. Sc. in Zoology/Life Sciences/ Wildlife/ Environmental Sciences/ Biodiversity & Conservation or equivalent
8. Desirable अनुभव: Research अनुभव wildlife ecology, zoology or allied subject, field survey अनुभव in population genetics, wildlife, knowledge of Computer and basic field data collection, and mountaineering etc

चयन प्रकिया: अभ्यर्थी का चयन लिखित परीक्षा एवं साक्षात्कार में उनके प्रदर्शन के आधार पर किया जाएगा।
1. Candidates should submit the duly filled-in applications with attested true copies of testimonials of educational qualifications, research अनुभव, proof for date of birth etc., along with copies of mark sheets of all examinations and ‘No Objection Certificate’ from present employer (if employed) to The Director, भारतीय प्राणि सर्वेक्षण, M-Block, New Alipore, Kolkata by Speed Post/Registered Post super scribed on the top of the envelope Application for the post of PB on or before 14th January 2022.

भारतीय प्राणि सर्वेक्षण (ZSI) तत्कालीन ‘ब्रिटिश भारतीय साम्राज्य’ की असाधारण समृद्ध जीवन के विभिन्न पहलुओं के बारे में हमारे ज्ञान में उन्नति के लिए अग्रणी सर्वेक्षण, अन्वेषण और अनुसंधान को बढ़ावा देने के लिए 1 जुलाई 1916 को स्थापित किया गया था। सर्वेक्षण धीरे-धीरे अपने स्टाफ को मजबूत बनाने और अपने अनुसंधान कार्यक्रम के विस्तार से 1875 में कलकत्ता में भारतीय संग्रहालय प्राणी धारा की स्थापना में अपनी उत्पत्ति है, सर्वेक्षण अतीत की चुनौती से मुलाकात की और मांगों को पूरा करने के लिए अपने रास्ते पर है भविष्य की। यह अपनी स्थापना के समय से अपरिवर्तित अपनी प्राथमिक उद्देश्यों को बनाए रखा है।
