शैक्षणिक योग्यता (Educational Qualifications): B.Sc, M.Sc, M.Phil/Ph.D

The भारतीय वन्यजीव संस्थान (भा.व.सं.), Dehradun invites applications from Indian nationals for a walk-in interview to recruit research personnel for the project entitled “Influence of tectonic shift (uplift and subsidence) on the carbon stock dynamics of mangrove forests of Andaman Islands” purely on contractual basis. Details of the positions along with essential and desirable qualifications and brief description of work are given below:

1. Position : Senior Project Associate

2. Number of Positions : 01

3. Essential Qualification (EQ) : PhD or First Class Master’s degree in Botany/Environmental Science/Wildlife Science/Marine Biology/Life sciences or allied disciplines. Minimum Four-year अनुभव of field research on aquatic or coastal or inter-tidal ecology

4. Desirable Qualification (DQ) : Prior अनुभव of working in mangrove ecosystems. Knowledge of Data analysis in R statistics. Excellent skills in scientific communication proven by publication(s) in peer reviewed journal. Enthusiasm to work in remote islands of Andaman & Nicobar

5. Emolument : Rs. 42,000 + 16% HRA

3. Essential Qualification (EQ) : First Class Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Botany/Environmental Science/Wildlife Science/Marine Biology/Life sciences or allied disciplines.

5. Emolument : Rs. 20,000 + 16% HRA

Selection Procedure

1. The shortlisted candidates will be informed about the interview on 10 May 2022. The interview will take place on 12 May 2022 either on-line interview or interview in person depends on the preference given by the candidates. Candidates preferred to appear for interview in person must report at the WII, Dehradun on 12 May 2022 at 9.30 hrs with their filled-in application along with original documents/certificates for verification

2. At the time of verification of original documents or even after selection, if it is found that an attempt has been made by the applicant to willfully conceal, misrepresent or canvass the facts, such applicant will not be considered for selection and due action will be taken.

3. The Institute will not provide any accommodation and TA/DA for candidates appearing for the personal interview

चयन प्रकिया: अभ्यर्थी का चयन लिखित परीक्षा एवं साक्षात्कार में उनके प्रदर्शन के आधार पर किया जाएगा।

1. A single PDF file containing one-page write up on “statement of interest” and duly signed application in the prescribed format along with all the supporting documents (eg. certificates of educational qualification, NET/GATE certificate (if any), extracurricular activity, and community certificate (if reserved category) etc.) should be e-mailed to [email protected] on or before 09 May 2022.

2. Candidates must clearly mention in their e-mail about the preferred mode of interview (on-line or interview in person)
