शैक्षणिक योग्यता (Educational Qualifications): M.Sc, PG Diploma

The भारतीय वन्यजीव संस्थान (भा.व.सं.), Dehra Dun invites application for engagement of the following Project Personnel in the Project “Uttarakhand State Wildlife Population Estimation for the Himalayan Zone”purely on contractual basis for a period of 6 months (likely to be extended).

1. Post Name: Project Associate– I (02 positions)

2. Essential Qualification (EQ): M.Sc in Wildlife Science /Ecology/ Zoology/ Forestry and 3 months field research अनुभव

3. Desirable Qualification (DQ): अनुभव in the Himalayan region, knowledge and अनुभव on the use of wildlife techniques, data analysis, report writing

4. Work description:

Carryout field exercises as per the directions of the supervising faculty in close coordination with the forest department staff in the field sites. Assist in training activities, consultations, data analysis and report writing

5. Duration: 6 months (likely to be extended)

6. Location of Project sites: HQ and field sites in Uttarakhand

7. Emoluments: Rs 31,000/- month + HRA as admissible

1. Post Name: Project Associate– IDatabase Maintenance (01 position)

2. Essential Qualification (EQ): Post Graduate degree with Certificate or Diploma in Computer Education

3. Desirable Qualification (DQ): 3 months work अनुभव

4. Work description: Data entry, database maintenance, retrieval, assistance in data curation, office assistance

5. Duration: 6 months (likely to be extended)

6. Location of Project sites: HQ and field sites in Uttarakhand

7. Emoluments: Rs 31,000/- month + HRA as admissible

Selection Procedure

1. The shortlisted candidates will be notified (through email and website notification) for online personal interview by 24thJanuary 2022.

2. The selection of the candidates will be in accordance with the performance in the interview and in order of merit as decided by the Interview Committee.

आवेदन करने का तरीका (How to apply)

चयन प्रकिया: अभ्यर्थी का चयन लिखित परीक्षा एवं साक्षात्कार में उनके प्रदर्शन के आधार पर किया जाएगा।

1. Candidate should send typed application form in hard copy along with selfattested copies of certificates, work अनुभव and publications in hard copy by speed post or courier with title on envelope “Application for [Post Name] – Uttarakhand Wildlife Population Estimation Project” and soft copy (pdf only) email to [email protected] by 17th January 2022.

2. The online interview will be held on 27 thJanuary 2022 from 1000 hrs onwards.

Important Instructions:

1. All original documents should be produced at the time of interview.

2. The decision of the Institute’s Committee in all matters relating to eligibility, work अनुभव, acceptance or rejection of application will be final and binding on the candidates and no enquiry or correspondence will be entertained from any individual.

3. Application forms needs to be typed according to the prescribed format and must be accompanied by: (a) Scanned copies of educational qualifications, and (b) Scanned copies of अनुभव letter/ certificate, failing which applications will not be considered.

4. The applications received after the deadline will be rejected by the Institute.

5. At the time of verification of original documents, if it is found that an attempt has been made by the applicant to wilfully conceal, misrepresent or canvass the facts, his/her candidature will not be considered.

6. The positions advertised are purely temporary/ contractual for the project period only and will stand abolished after completion of the project

7. The tenure in the project will be governed by the Institute’s rules and regulations

9. Relaxation in Age will be given as per Govt. of India norms

10. After announcement of the results, the candidate should join the project immediately.

11. The Director, WII reserves the right to reject any candidature in view of incomplete information provided by the candidate or for any other reason thereof.
