1. Position: Project Assistant (Monitoring & Evaluation) (NPSA5)

2. Locations: Jamnagar, India

3. Duties and Responsibilities:

a. Establish processes and systems for effective development and implementation of M & E Strategies as per the M & E framework developed under the project;

b. Develop the overall framework for the physical and process monitoring of project activities;

c. Develop monthly, quarterly, six monthly and yearly reporting formats on the progress of activities as per the approved work plan;

d. Review monitoring reports, analyses these reports in terms of problems and actions needed as well as for impact evaluation and to identify the causes of potential bottlenecks in project implementation;

e. Facilitate as an important Team member at PMU, in setting up a dynamic monitoring and evaluation systems for monthly monitoring and reporting of project;

f. Contribute to the mid-term and final evaluation and assessment of the project;

g. Support in developing a model presentation; Keep an update on all details for solid waste Management, Plastic Waste Management, Electronic Waste. Travel and coordination of activities to the allotted cities based on the project need.

h. Perform any other tasks assigned from time to time by the senior management at UNDP.

4. Education: Bachelor’s degree in environment science and social science, rural management, environment engineering or related area

5. अनुभव:

a. A minimum of 2 years of relevant अनुभव in data handling/data management/MIS /Report writing Good analytical, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills on the impacts from project 

b. Understanding of waste management Knowledge of Computer (minimum: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Knowledge of data mapping, data analysis and report writing Expertise in analyzing data using statistical software;

c. Intellectual and analytical capacity to understand the principles, policies and compliance requirement of circular economy, extended producer responsibility and waste management and apply them to the M&E/MIS practice

d. Proven ICT skills, especially in the development of MIS software using database software Ability to consistently approach work with energy and a positive constructive attitude; Ability to demonstrate openness to change and ability to manage complexities;

e. Ability to prioritize assignments and requirements, and multitask as needed; Ability to work independently with limited supervision 

f. Ability to integrate technology into various aspects of the project for planning, rollout and monitoring

6. Language Requirement: Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and Hindi is essential
