Skills / Eligibility
Applications are invited for the following Non-Teaching Post on a Contractual basis: Applications are invited for the following posts to be filled on a Contractual basis for a period of one year initially and extendable based on the performance of the candidate and requirement of the Institute. 1. Name of the Post: Assistant cum Data Entry Operator 2. Essential Qualification & अनुभव: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/ Application/ IT with a minimum of 55% marks in the aggregate with one year's अनुभव and knowledge in using word processing, spread sheet, presentation etc., and working knowledge on web-based applications. 3. Key Responsibility: a. Assistant cum Data Entry Operator will work under the supervision of the Academic & IT Section. His/her duties will be as prescribed for the post and as may be assigned by the authorities of the Institute from time to time. However, a brief description of the duties is mentioned below for information. Maintaining the job follow-up as per the schedule. Maintaining and using different system utilises like Request Management Systems, Project Management Systems etc. Should be prepared to do out door official duties such as collecting information/documents etc. from any offices. b. Operating of different system packages Input and verification of data before or during execution of programmes. Should be prepared to carry/deliver papers/documents relating to his/her Section to faculty and other officials of the Institute whenever required. Prepared to work from Monday to Saturday from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm or beyond the officer hours as per work requirement. Willing to work on Sundays and Public Holidays whenever required.

Selection Procedure
1. Short-listed candidates may be invited for Written/skill test at the Institute premises for evaluating their proficiency and skills.
2. Candidates will be informed over e-mail and/or mobile phone to appear for the Written/skill test to be conducted at TISS, Mumbai.
3. Since applications received will be short listed, merely possessing the prescribed qualifications and the requisite अनुभव would not entitle a person to be called for interview

टाटा समाजिक विज्ञान संस्थान भारत का एक प्रमुख सामाजिक विज्ञान संस्थान है। यह मुंबई के अन्दर देवनार में स्थित है। टाटा समाज विज्ञान संस्थान 1936 में स्थापित किया गया था, तब इसे ‘सर दोराबजी टाटा सामाजिक कार्य स्नातक स्कूल’ के नाम से जाना जाता था। भारत में सामाजिक कार्य का पहला स्कूल, टीआईएसएस शैक्षिक उत्कृष्टता के माध्यम से समाज कल्याण के उद्देश्य के साथ एक अग्रणी प्रयास था, जो कि सर दोराबजी टाटा ट्रस्ट की एक विशेषता थी। 1944 मे सर दोराबजी टाटा सामाजिक कार्य स्नातक स्कूल का नाम बदलकर टाटा समाज विज्ञान संस्थान कर दिया गया। वर्ष 1964 में संस्थान को विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग (यूजीसी) भारत के द्वारा एक विश्वविद्यालय के रूप में मान्यता दी गई। इस संसथान की चार शाखाएं हैं – मुम्बई, हैदराबाद, तुल्झापुर और गुवाहाटी। वर्ष 1936 में अपनी स्थापना के बाद से ही यह संस्थान सामाजिक विज्ञान, मानव विकास, लोक नीति तथा अर्थनीति के क्षेत्र में भारत के अग्रणी संस्थानों में से एक रहा है।
