Skills / Eligibility

1. Name of Position: Coordinator (Full Time)

2. No. of positions: 1 Female Coordinator for Special Cells for Women, UTs of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh

3. Honorarium: INR 42000/- per month

4. Eligibility criteria and preference:

(i) The candidate must have a post-graduate qualification in social work (M.A. in Social Work/MSW) from Central/Deemed/State-Recognized University. The candidates based in UTs of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, possessing Master’s degree in other social sciences such as Women Studies, Psychology, Sociology, may also be considered at the discretion of the Selection Committee.

(ii) Candidates must have minimum 4 years’ relevant work अनुभव on the issue of gender-based violence of which minimum one year अनुभव in direct interventions on women's issues at the grass-root level and work अनुभव in one or more of the following: women's rights/empowerment-based work with the State/UT, advocacy, strategic writing & planning, feminist social work practice.

(iii) Candidate must demonstrate ability to meet and engage with senior government officials towards meeting the objective of the project.

(iv) Candidate must demonstrate willingness to travel within UTs of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh and occasionally to other States as per programme requirements detailed in section on job description above, multi-task extensively, anchor specific Projects' & project personnel's work, work in feminist workplace environment, beyond '9-to-5 office' setting with varied groups of individuals.

(v) Candidate must possess verbal and written fluency in local languages/dialects as spoken in the specific districts and working knowledge of English. Candidates should be proficient in use of MS Office.

5. Location and terms of service: The stated position is full-time and based in UTs of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. The selected Coordinator will be contractually employed and will be paid a consolidated honorarium of INR 42,000/- per month. Once appointed, the coordinator will be expected to reside in UTs of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh and travel regularly to the various districts where Cells are located and travel occasionally to other states as per project requirement (training, exposure fieldwork, campaigns, regional meetings etc.).

टाटा समाजिक विज्ञान संस्थान भारत का एक प्रमुख सामाजिक विज्ञान संस्थान है। यह मुंबई के अन्दर देवनार में स्थित है। टाटा समाज विज्ञान संस्थान 1936 में स्थापित किया गया था, तब इसे ‘सर दोराबजी टाटा सामाजिक कार्य स्नातक स्कूल’ के नाम से जाना जाता था। भारत में सामाजिक कार्य का पहला स्कूल, टीआईएसएस शैक्षिक उत्कृष्टता के माध्यम से समाज कल्याण के उद्देश्य के साथ एक अग्रणी प्रयास था, जो कि सर दोराबजी टाटा ट्रस्ट की एक विशेषता थी। 1944 मे सर दोराबजी टाटा सामाजिक कार्य स्नातक स्कूल का नाम बदलकर टाटा समाज विज्ञान संस्थान कर दिया गया। वर्ष 1964 में संस्थान को विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग (यूजीसी) भारत के द्वारा एक विश्वविद्यालय के रूप में मान्यता दी गई। इस संसथान की चार शाखाएं हैं – मुम्बई, हैदराबाद, तुल्झापुर और गुवाहाटी। वर्ष 1936 में अपनी स्थापना के बाद से ही यह संस्थान सामाजिक विज्ञान, मानव विकास, लोक नीति तथा अर्थनीति के क्षेत्र में भारत के अग्रणी संस्थानों में से एक रहा है।
