शैक्षणिक योग्यता (Educational Qualifications): Any Graduate
Applications are invited from eligible Indian Citizens for appointment as अफ़सर in State Bank of India. The selected candidates shall be posted in the applied Circle/State only.
1. Name of the Post: अफ़सर
2. No of Post: 1226
3. Essential Academic Qualifications: Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government.
4. अनुभव (Post Essential Academic Qualification) as on 01.12.2021: Minimum 2 years’ अनुभव (Post Essential Academic Qualification अनुभव) as on 01.12.2021 as an officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or any Regional Rural Bank as listed in Second Schedule of Reserve Bank of India.
5. Emoluments: Presently, the starting basic pay is 36,000/- in the scale of 36000-1490/7-46430-1740/2- 49910-1990/7-63840 applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale-I plus one increment for each completed year of service rendered in officer cadre in Scheduled Commercial Bank/ Regional Rural Bank as on 01.12.2021. However, maximum advance increment has been capped at 2 (two), irrespective of the duration of अनुभव gained in previous employment. The official will also be eligible for D.A, H.R.A/ Lease rental, C.C.A, Medical and other allowances & perquisites as per rules in force from time to time.

आयु सीमा (Age Limit): Age Limit: (As on 01.12.2021): Not below 21 years and Not above 30 years as on 01.12.2021 i.e. candidates must have been born not later than 01.12.2000 and not earlier than 02.12.1991 (both days inclusive).
Selection Procedure
The selection process consists of Online Written Test, Screening and Interview.
1. Online Written Test: Online written test will consist of Objective Tests for 120 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks. The Descriptive Test will be administered immediately after conclusion of the Objective Test and candidates will have to type their Descriptive Test answers on the computer.
(i) Objective Test: The duration of objective test is 2 hours and it consists of 4 Sections of total 120 marks. There will be separate timing for every section.
(ii) Descriptive Test: The duration of Descriptive Test is 30 minutes. It will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing & Essay) with two questions for total 50 marks.
2. Merit list will be drawn State wise and Category wise on the basis of the aggregate marks scored in Online Written Test. There will be no sectional qualifying marks. Candidates numbering up to 3 times (approx.) of the State wise and Category wise vacancies will be shortlisted for Screening from the top of the merit list drawn on State wise and Category wise subject to a candidate scoring the minimum aggregate qualifying score, as decided by the Bank.
3. Penalty for Wrong Answers: There will be no penalty for wrong answers marked in Objective Tests
4. Sectional Marks will not be maintained for Online Written Examination.
5. Screening: Online application and documents of candidates, who are shortlisted based on performance in online examination, will be placed before the Screening Committee. The Screening Committee constituted by the Bank will examine whether the candidates fulfil the required eligibility criteria of अनुभव.
6. The Committee will match the job profile submitted by the candidates (certified by their existing/ previous employer(s) with whom they are/were employed) with the job profile of Scale-I Generalist अफ़सर of the State Bank of India. In case their job profile does not match substantially or is different than the job profile of Scale-I Generalist अफ़सर of State Bank of India, then the application of the candidate will be summarily rejected.
7. The decision of the Bank in this regard would be final and binding on all candidates. No representation or correspondence will be entertained by the Bank in this regard. The candidates, who fulfil the required अनुभव as decided by the Screening Committee, will be called for interview.
8. Interview: Interview will consist of 50 marks. Candidates will have to score minimum qualifying marks in interview to be considered for final selection. The minimum qualifying marks will be decided by the Bank. Candidates qualifying for interview under 'OBC' category would be required to submit OBC certificate containing the 'Non-Creamy layer' clause.
a) Candidates who have registered themselves as OBC but do not submit OBC 'Non-Creamy layer' certificate and request for interview under General category will not be entertained. Candidates qualifying for interview under EWS category would be required to submit EWS certificate issued based on gross annual income for the financial year 2020-21 as per DoPT guidelines.
b) Candidates who have registered themselves as EWS but do not submit EWS certificate issued based on gross annual income for the financial year 2020-21 as per DoPT guidelines and request for interview under General category will not be entertained.
9. Final Selection The candidates will have to qualify both in Online Written Test and Interview separately. The marks obtained in Online written Test, both in the Objective Test and the Descriptive Test, will be added to the marks obtained in Interview for preparing the final merit list. Final merit list would be prepared based on normalization of marks scored in Online Written Test and Interview with 75:25 weightage respectively.
a) Marks secured by the candidates in the Online Written test (out of 170 marks) are converted to out of 75 marks and Interview scores of candidates (out of 50 marks) are converted to out of 25 marks. The final merit list (State wise and category wise) is arrived at after aggregating (out of 100) converted marks of Online Written test and Interview. Selection will be made from the top ranked candidates in merit list prepared on State wise and Category wise.

चयन प्रकिया: अभ्यर्थी का चयन लिखित परीक्षा एवं साक्षात्कार में उनके प्रदर्शन के आधार पर किया जाएगा।
a) Candidates can apply online only from 09.12.2021 to 29.12.2021. No other mode of application will be accepted. Pre-requisites for Applying Online: Candidates should have valid email ID and mobile no. which should be kept active till the declaration of results. It will be essentially required for receiving any communication/ call letters/ advices from the bank by email/ SMS.
b) Important Date:
1. Commencement of on-line registration of application - 09/12/2021
2. Closure of registration of application - 29/12/2021
3. Closure for editing application details - 29/12/2021
4. Last date for printing your application - 13/01/2022

स्टेट बँक ऑफ इंडिया के बारे में
स्टेट बैंक ऑफ इंडिया (State bank of India / SBI) भारत का सबसे बड़ी एवं सबसे पुरानी bank)है। २ जून १८०६ को कलकत्ता में ‘बैंक ऑफ़ कलकत्ता’ की स्थापना हुई थी। तीन वर्षों के पश्चात इसको चार्टर मिला तथा इसका पुनर्गठन बैंक ऑफ़ बंगाल के रूप में २ जनवरी १८०९ को हुआ। यह अपने तरह का अनोखा बैंक था जो साझा स्टॉक पर ब्रिटिश इंडिया तथा बंगाल सरकार द्वारा चलाया जाता था। बैंक ऑफ़ बॉम्बे तथा बैंक ऑफ़ मद्रास की शुरुआत बाद में हुई। ये तीनों बैंक आधुनिक भारत के प्रमुख बैंक तब तक बने रहे जब तक कि इनका विलय इंपिरियल बैंक ऑफ़ इंडिया (हिन्दी अनुवाद – भारतीय शाही बैंक) में २७ जनवरी १९२१ को नहीं कर दिया गया। सन १९५१ में पहली पंचवर्षीय योजना की नींव डाली गई जिसमें गांवों के विकास पर जोर डाला गया था। इस समय तक इंपिरियल बैंक ऑफ़ इंडिया का कारोबार सिर्फ़ शहरों तक सीमित था। अतः ग्रामीण विकास के मद्देनजर एक ऐसे बैंक की कल्पना की गई जिसकी पहुंच गांवों तक हो तथा ग्रामीण जनता को जिसका लाभ हो सके। इसके फलस्वरूप १ जुलाई १९५५ को स्टेट बैंक आफ़ इंडिया की स्थापना की गई, जिसमे सरकार की हिस्सेदारी 61.58% हैं।[3] अपने स्थापना काल में स्टेट बैंक के कुल ४८० कार्यालय थे जिसमें शाखाएं, उप शाखाएं तथा तीन स्थानीय मुख्यालय शामिल थे, जो इम्पीरियल बैंकों के मुख्यालयों को बनाया गया था।
