Subject: Engagement of Staff on Contract basis in SAI.

Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS) Division, भारतीय खेल प्राधिकरण(SAI), Delhi, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India invites applications for engagement of staff on contract basis. The employment is initially for a period of two years extendable by one year.

1. Position: Sports Associate

2. Number of Vacancies: 02

3. Sports Associate will undertake the following tasks:

I. Manage day to day administrative works of TOPS Division, SAI HQ

II. Oversee the function, management, planning, execution, verification & reporting of operations of the given projects.

III. Draft Expression of Interest (EOI) and Request for Proposals (RFPs) for procurement of goods and services according to various relevant government guidelines and manuals such as GFR, CVC guidelines, procurement manual etc.

IV. Any other work assigned by the reporting officers.

4. Essential Qualification: B.Tech/MBA/PGDM (2 years) from any recognized university

5. Desirable Qualification:

• MBA/ Post graduate diploma (2 years) with specialization in sports management from any recognized university.

• Excellent knowledge of office software like MS office, Excel, Powerpoint etc. and research tools. Knowledge of database management and applications software.

6. Essential अनुभव: Minimum 6 months of अनुभव in relevant field as mentioned in the JD. This will be counted only if the same is acquired after completion of essential qualification.

7. Desirable अनुभव:

a. Preference to persons with work अनुभव in relevant field. Strong written and verbal communication skills. अनुभव in any Government/ Semi Govt./ Autonomous/ PSU / Private Sector in sporting domain shall be considered.

b. Candidates who have participated in nationals and international level in Olympic Sports Disciplines would be given preference. Knowledge of IT, software applications and social media

8. Remuneration (per month): Rs. 40,000 – 50,000/-

Selection Procedure

1. Candidate will be shortlisted in the ratio of 1:5 with following criteria for which necessary documents to be attached along with the application:

i. Weightage for marks obtained in essential qualification (maximum - 40 Marks) with further break-up as given below: 

a) Greater or equal to 75% - 40 marks

b) 60% to less than 75% - 30 marks

c) 45% to less than 60% - 20 marks

d) Less than 45% - 0 marks

ii. Weightage for work अनुभव (maximum 30 marks) with further break-up as: 

a) 2 years and above- 30 marks

b) 1 year to less than 2 years- 25 marks

c) 6 months to less than 1 year- 20 marks

d) Less than 6 months- 0 marks

iii. Weightage for work अनुभव in sports sector (maximum 20 marks) with further break-up as:

a) Above 1 year- 20 marks

b) 6 months to less than 1 year- 15 marks

c) Less than 6 months- 5 marks

iv. Sports participation at national and international level in olympic disciplines: maximum 5 marks

v. Publication/ sport science अनुभव: maximum 5 marks

2. Interview Process:

a) The final selection will be based on interview of candidates by a committee.

b) The interview will be of 100 marks.

c) The shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview

d) A panel of final shortlisted candidates will be formed on the basis of merit which shall be valid for a period of 1 year from its notification.

e) Merely qualifying for the interview does not confirm final selection.

f) Candidates must produce all the original documents at the time of physical joining for verification else candidature may be cancelled.
