Applications are invited for the position of Junior अनुसंधान अध्येता (JRF) position in a Naval Research Board (NRB) sponsored project titled "The Development, Testing and Performance Analysis of Batoid-inspired Autonomous Underwater Vehicle" under the supervision of Dr. Santanu Mitra, Associate Professor and former department head in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, शिव नादर विश्वविद्यालय. The position is time-bound and available immediately for the timely execution of the project. The candidates with relevant अनुभव only are encouraged to apply, and the successful candidate may be allowed to register for Ph.D. in the University.

6. Essential qualifications and अनुभव: Master's degree in Mechanical/Mechanical Design/Mechatronics Engineering or relevant branch with minimum 65% marks from a recognized University OR Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics or relevant branch with excellent academic record and potential of carrying out strategic research in robotics and control. Candidates with relevant research अनुभव and publications will only be considered for the position.

7. Fellowship: ₹ 31,000 (consolidated); (Initial Appointment will be for one year and the possibility of getting an extension further based on performance). Fellowship may get enhanced if the candidate registers for the Ph.D. program.

Shiv Nadar University (or SNU) is a private interdisciplinary research university founded in 2011 in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh in India. It was founded as part of a series of initiatives launched by the Shiv Nadar Foundation, a private philanthropic foundation funded by Shiv Nadar, founder and chairman of HCL. The University’s stated aim is “to create an enduring, research-led, inter-disciplinary university.”. The University was established by the Act no. 12 of 2011 of State Legislature of Uttar Pradesh as a State Private University, and was empowered by the UGC to award degrees under Section 22 of the UGC Act, 1956. The University started the Engineering Majors in the Academic Year 2011-12 with the approval of the AICTE. The University is currently registered with DSIR, Government of India as a Research Institution.
