Skills / Eligibility

1. Position: Project Fellow / Project Associate-I

2. No. of Positions: 01

3. Essential and Desirable Qualifications

a. The candidate should have a Master’s degree (with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade) in Physics from a UGC-recognized university.

b. The candidate should have good experimental and analytical skills.

c. The candidate should have good knowledge on condensed matter physics.

d. Candidates with the अनुभव of synthesizing compounds by solid-state synthesis method is desirable.

e. अनुभव in the characterization techniques like XRD and PPMS is desirable.

4. Duration of the Project: Initially 12 months but can be extended up to 36 months based on the performance and approval of the funding agency.

5. Fellowship:

The funding agency is UGC-DAE Consortium for Scientific Research, Indore Centre. Candidates without valid GATE/NET shall be offered a Project fellow position with remuneration INR 14,000/-pm + HRA and candidates with valid NET/GATE shall be offered Project Associate 1- INR 31,000/-pm + HRA.

Shiv Nadar University (or SNU) is a private interdisciplinary research university founded in 2011 in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh in India. It was founded as part of a series of initiatives launched by the Shiv Nadar Foundation, a private philanthropic foundation funded by Shiv Nadar, founder and chairman of HCL. The University’s stated aim is “to create an enduring, research-led, inter-disciplinary university.”. The University was established by the Act no. 12 of 2011 of State Legislature of Uttar Pradesh as a State Private University, and was empowered by the UGC to award degrees under Section 22 of the UGC Act, 1956. The University started the Engineering Majors in the Academic Year 2011-12 with the approval of the AICTE. The University is currently registered with DSIR, Government of India as a Research Institution.
