4. Project Synopsis:

This project aims to develop SiC/ZnO composite materials and study their fundamental physical properties, especially their potential in tuning optical properties with and without radiation exposure. The major objectives are:

5. Duration of the Project: Initially 12 months but can be extended up to 36 months based on the performance.

6. Essential and Desirable Qualifications:

a. The candidate should have a Master’s degree (with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade) in Physics from a UGC-recognized university and in addition 2 years research अनुभव in experimental project.

b. The candidate should have good experimental and analytical skills. Familiarity with either solid state or chemical synthesis is desirable.

c.अनुभव in the characterization techniques like XRD, PL, and UV-Vis will be preferred. Candidates with CSIR/UGC-NET/JEST/GATE are encouraged to apply.

7., Fellowship:

a. As per DST norms, fellowship is 35,000/- p.m. plus HRA as permissible for SRF.

b. Eligible and interested candidates should submit their application with a complete CV (having personal details, academic qualifications, research अनुभव, publications, and also name, affiliation, and email address of two referees), the copies of marksheets/testimonials/certificates and other relevant documents as PDF attachment.

Shiv Nadar University (or SNU) is a private interdisciplinary research university founded in 2011 in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh in India. It was founded as part of a series of initiatives launched by the Shiv Nadar Foundation, a private philanthropic foundation funded by Shiv Nadar, founder and chairman of HCL. The University’s stated aim is “to create an enduring, research-led, inter-disciplinary university.”. The University was established by the Act no. 12 of 2011 of State Legislature of Uttar Pradesh as a State Private University, and was empowered by the UGC to award degrees under Section 22 of the UGC Act, 1956. The University started the Engineering Majors in the Academic Year 2011-12 with the approval of the AICTE. The University is currently registered with DSIR, Government of India as a Research Institution.
