Skills / Eligibility

Applications are invited for the position of कनिष्ठ अनुसंधान अध्येता (JRF) with the following details:

1. Position: कनिष्ठ अनुसंधान अध्येता (JRF)

2. Position type: Temporary

3. Position availability: Immediate

4 .Project: “Instabilities During Production of Nanofibres By Rotary Jet Spinning”

5 .Sponsor: Science and Engineering Research Board, Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India

6. Principal investigator: Dr. Karan Gupta, Assistant Professor

7. Essential qualification: Master’s degree in chemical engineering with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university.

8. Desirable qualification: GATE qualified (any year) or with any equivalent fellowship, अनुभव in complex fluids flow, polymer processing and characterization, coding in MATLAB/ Fortran/ C/ C++, simulation अनुभव with COMSOL.

9. Fellowship: As per JRF norms set by SERB, DST, GoI. (vide circular SB/S9/Z06/2019) of 31,000/- + HRA (if applicable)

10 .Duration of the project: 2 years

11. Additional note: On a satisfactory performance, the candidate may be allowed to register for a Ph.D. at the university.

Shiv Nadar University (or SNU) is a private interdisciplinary research university founded in 2011 in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh in India. It was founded as part of a series of initiatives launched by the Shiv Nadar Foundation, a private philanthropic foundation funded by Shiv Nadar, founder and chairman of HCL. The University’s stated aim is “to create an enduring, research-led, inter-disciplinary university.”. The University was established by the Act no. 12 of 2011 of State Legislature of Uttar Pradesh as a State Private University, and was empowered by the UGC to award degrees under Section 22 of the UGC Act, 1956. The University started the Engineering Majors in the Academic Year 2011-12 with the approval of the AICTE. The University is currently registered with DSIR, Government of India as a Research Institution.
