Skills / Eligibility

Applications are invited for one position of Extension Assistant (Contractual) against the post of Subject Matter Specialist (Agrometeorology) at KVK, Moga at a fixed वेतन of Rs.25,000/- p.m. for M.Sc. and Rs.30,000/- p.m. for Ph.D. degree holders + HRA as per rules under the scheme entitled "Setting up of District Agro-Met Units (DAMUs), ICAR-103 (PC-2496)”.

3. Essential Qualifications:

i. B.Sc./B.Sc. (Agri.)/ B.Sc. Agriculture (Hons.)/ B.Sc. (Horticulture)/B.Sc. (Forestry) with minimum OCPA of 6.00 out of 10.00 or 60 % marks.

ii. Master’s degree in Agricultural Meteorology/ Agricultural Physics with specialization in Agricultural Meteorology with minimum OCPA of 6.50 out of 10.00 or 65% marks.

a) Must have passed Matric level certificate of Punjabi language of Punjab School Education Board or any other recognize board (as first or second language).

b) Proficiency of spoken Punjabi.

4. A candidate who does not possess Master’s degree in the relevant subject but possesses Ph.D. in the discipline required at Master’s level, shall be eligible for the post.

5. The candidates should have cleared four years degree programme at Graduation/Bachelors level.

6. The candidates who have completed Bachelor degree in three years should have cleared their deficiency courses in relevant subjects of Bachelors degree during their Master’s degree or should have completed one year duration Hons./Bridged/Special Programme etc.

7. The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the scheme and initially will be awarded for a period of six months extendable for further period of six months or till the termination of the scheme whichever is earlier.

8. The services of the incumbent are liable to be terminated at any time without any notice.

चयन प्रकिया: अभ्यर्थी का चयन लिखित परीक्षा एवं साक्षात्कार में उनके प्रदर्शन के आधार पर किया जाएगा।

1. The desirous candidates fulfilling the above qualifications should submit their applications as per enclosed format complete in all respects, along with attested copies of testimonials and a bank draft for Rs.200/- drawn in favour of the Comptroller, PAU to the office of the undersigned on or before 14.12.2021 up to 4.00 p.m.

2. The eligible candidates should appear for interview on 17.12.2021 at 11.00 a.m. in the office room of the Additional Director of Extension Education.

3. No separate information for interview will be sent.

4. The original copies of the testimonials should also be brought at the time of interview.

5. No T.A./D.A. will be paid for attending the interview.

पंजाब कृषि विश्वविद्यालय (Punjab Agricultural University – PAU) की स्थापना 1962 में की गयी थी। 1966 में हरयाणा बनाने के बाद, इस यूनिवर्सिटी के विभाजन होकर हरयाणा कृषि विश्वविद्यालय और हिमाचल प्रदेश कृषि विश्वविद्यालय बनाया गया १९७० में। वर्तमान समय में PAU में 31 डिपार्टमेंट्स हैं जो 31 मास्टर्स और 30 पीएचडी डिग्री प्रधान करती हैं। The PAU has well equipped laboratories, library and lecture rooms and elaborate farm facilities. Hostel accommodation is available in the university hostels for single students.
