a) Name of the Post: Thought Leader-SFAC-Delhi

b) Key Responsibilities

1. Create innovation and thought leadership by synthesizing input from various sources (industry, government, employees, associations, etc)

2. Identification of prioritized SFAC specific challenges and opportunities followed by articulation of proposed solutions

3. Analyse industry trends and provide inputs for company activities. Share best practices around the world

4. Provide leadership on methodology development, analytical approaches, and insight synthesis on the leading edge and current digital and e-markets in the commodities domain

5. Develop, communicate, and promote internally and externally the core industry practices and their value proposition

6. Partner with internal cross-functional teams on strategy and execution. Positively challenge teams to drive innovation and improvement

7. Organization of relevant committees, balancing diverse interests and views, developing short-term and long-term project plans, guiding various projects to be on track, and implementing communications and adoption strategies

8. Participation in other industry events—speaking as well as organizing—to promote SFAC initiatives, gather industry input into SFAC priorities, etc

c) Required Skills/Abilities:

1. Ability to summarize key issues and opportunities

2. Good understanding of commodities downstream value chain (marketing and distribution)

3. Deep understanding of the e-commerce / e-marketplace industry

4. Understanding of the Agriculture industry would be an advantage

5. Ability to conduct a stakeholder assessment, assess the industry landscape and identify key opportunities/challenges by priority

6. Knowledge of emerging digital technologies – RPA, ML, NLP, and AI etc. and their applicability to specific stakeholder issues

7. Ability to construct a narrative and communicate that in verbal and written format

8. Ability to research and synthesize issues from a range of sources and stakeholders

9. Ability to brainstorm with the team to improve the rigor of company strategy

10. Demonstrated capacity to convene, manage and lead large groups— ensuring all voices are heard but with an ability to drive to consensus and action

11. Good understanding of agriculture downstream value chain (marketing and distribution)

12. Works effectively with others in and across the organization to accomplish team goals

13. Able to manage complex relationships and juggle priorities

14. Strong problem solving, analytical, project management, and planning skills

15. Has strong relationship and influencing skills

16. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required

d) Required Qualifications:

1. Graduate in the field of Agriculture Science or Engineering or Computer Science

2. Prior अनुभव in working for/with Government is a must.

3. Post-Graduation in Management or Food and Agri-Business from a reputed institute would be an advantage

4. Minimum 25+ years of work अनुभव in relevant field

5. Proven track record of driving technology led transformation programs
