Skills / Eligibility
The following posts are to be filled purely on temporary basis from willing eligible candidates for the below mentioned project implemented by this institute as detailed thereon. 1. Post Name: Project Research Associate I 2. No. of Post: 01 3. Name of the Project: Impact of Covid-19 on clinical manifestations, diagnosis, treatment outcome and immune response for pulmonary tuberculosisABRICOT study 4. Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in any branch of Biology/Life Science or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research/teaching अनुभव. At least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal. 5. Desirable Qualification: Ph.D. degree in biological sciences; preference would be given for research अनुभव in culture work, in-vitro cell culture, PBMC isolation, PBMC cryopreservation, handling of clinical samples and efficiency in working with computer is a must. Persons with expertise in immunological assays and/or Flow cytometry related work, etc., will be preferred. Minimum three years of research/ teaching अनुभव with Ph.D. Candidate should have at least one first author publications in indexed journals in the field of parasite biology/vector biology. Minimum of one research publication in international journals. 6. Nature of Duties: RA-I: in-vitro cell culture, PBMC isolation, PBMC cryopreservation, handling of clinical samples, handling Flow cytometry experiments like Immuno phenotyping, Molecular Biology experiments like RNA Isolation and quantification and efficiency in working with biological software is a must. Persons with expertise in immunological assays and/or Flow cytometry related work. To ensure timely completion of research objectives. Coordination among the SRFs and JRFs work, data collection, analysis and compilation, Report preparation, Reporting of project progress with PI and other project partners 7. Emoluments वेतन of Rs.47,000/- + HRA of Rs.12,690/- p.m. 8. Duration Initially for a period of Six Months

Date of Walk-in written test/Interview may be changed due to administrative reasons, hence, candidates are advised to check website before appearing for Walk-in written test/Interview.

चयन प्रकिया: अभ्यर्थी का चयन लिखित परीक्षा एवं साक्षात्कार में उनके प्रदर्शन के आधार पर किया जाएगा।
1. Date of Walk-in-written test/interview & Reporting time 25.01.2022 9.00 AM TO 10.00 AM (written test/interview 11.00 AM onwards)
2. Interested candidates fulfilling the required qualification may download the prescribed application form from the website www.nirt.res.in, www.icmr.nic.in and walk-in on the date and time mentioned above, at ICMR-National Institute for Research in Tuberculosis, No.1, Mayor Sathyamoorthy Road, Chetpet, Chennai 600 031.
3. The filled-in application along with self-attested copies of all credentials in support of educational qualifications, age, caste/community and affixing a colour passport size photograph on the application form should be carried with while reporting for walk-in written test/interview. Original Certificates of all these credentials should also be carried with for verification.
