Skills / Eligibility

Applications are invited for the position of Senior R&D Engineer (Project) in the laboratory of Prof. Pravat K. Mandal at राष्ट्रीय मस्तिष्क अनुसंधान केंद्र, Manesar, India. The primary scientific interest of the lab is to identify early in vivo biomarkers for neurodegenerative disorders, particularly Alzheimer’s disease. The lab uses multi-modal neuroimaging techniques, i.e. magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), functional MRI (fMRI), and magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) to investigate the associated structural, functional, and neurochemical brain alterations, respectively. We have developed Indian Brain template, BRAHMA and Big data analytics “Bharat” for early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease.

3. Essential qualification: M. E. / M. Tech. (Electrical / Electronics / ECE / Biomedical) with six months’ research अनुभव 60% marks from 10th standard onwards

4. Desirable अनुभव:

a) Prior hands on अनुभव with Digital Image processing is welcome

b) Expertise in Matlab coding.

c) Strong academic record and clear evidence of research focus as demonstrated by.

d) Excellent scientific communication and writing skills. अनुभव with writing scientific manuscripts is mandatory.

e) Ability to independently lead research projects.

5. Job Profile: Template and QSM analysis for elderly and Alzheimer’s patients.

6. Emoluments: Rs.45,000/- p.m. (consolidated) (No other allowances are applicable)

7. Tenure: The tenure will be initially for a period of one year extendable another year on performance review. The post is co-terminus with the project.

Selection Procedure

Only candidates who are shortlisted will be called for interview. स्वास्थ्य विभाग ने 14 नवंबर, 1997 को मस्तिष्क अनुसंधान के लिए समर्पित एक केन्द्र की स्थापना की हैं जिसे राष्ट्रीय मस्तिष्क अनुसंधान केन्द्र (एनबीआरसी) का नाम दिया गया है। यह केन्द्र तंत्रिका विज्ञान अनुसंधान के अग्रणी क्षेत्रों में कार्य करने, मौजूदा दलों की नेटवकिर्गं करने और आवश्यकतानुसार देश में इस विधा के समग्र विकास को संयोजित करने के लिए छोटे-छोटे एककों की स्थापना करने के उद्देश्य से अवसंरचनात्मक सुविधाएं प्रदान करने और समन्वित बहु-विषयक दल तैयार करने के लिए समर्पित है। नेटवकिर्गं की यह प्रणाली बाह्य केन्द्रों और क्रोड़ केन्द्र के बीच कार्मिकों के विवेकपूर्ण आदान-प्रदान के जरिए स्थानीय प्रतिभा का सृजन करेगी और उन्हें प्रोत्साहित भी करेगी। अनुसंधान के अतिरिक्त, यह केन्द्र तंत्रिका विज्ञान के बहुमुखी क्षेत्रों में व्यापक प्रशिक्षण तथा शिक्षण के लिए राष्ट्र स्तरीय आधार प्रदान करता है।
