शैक्षणिक योग्यता (Educational Qualifications): M.Phil/Ph.D

Applications are invited from Indian Nationals (bright candidates) for the recruitment of one (01) शोध सहयोगी purely on temporary basis in the Applied Statistics Division of the भारतीय सांख्यिकी संस्थान.

3. Qualification:

Ph.D. with research work in Statistics/ Biostatistics/ Cryptology/ Econometrics and related areas. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed their Ph.D. from organisations other than ISI in the last two years.

4. Pay: A consolidated honorarium range between 47000/- (Rupees forty seven thousand only) to 54000/- (Rupees fifty four thousand only) pcr month depending upon post doctoral अनुभव.

5. Tenure of appointment:

The tenure of appointment will be initially upto 31 March 2022 from the date of his/her joining the Institute which may be extended later/ terminated earlier, depending on availability of funds and performance of the candidate. Based on performance of the candidate, the term of research associateship can be upto a maximum of two years.

आवेदन करने का तरीका (How to apply)

चयन प्रकिया: अभ्यर्थी का चयन लिखित परीक्षा एवं साक्षात्कार में उनके प्रदर्शन के आधार पर किया जाएगा।

1. Eligible and interested candidates should apply for the position with a cover letter addressed to the Professor-in- Charge, Applied Statistics Division of the Institute, which is required to include

(a) Name (In block letters),

(b) Permanent/Present Address,

(d) Telephone/Mobile No.,

(e) Parent's/Spouse's Name,

(O Date of birth,

(g) Academic Qualifications (with the percentage of marks obtained in each examination starting from 10th class),

(h) अनुभव (if any),

(i) Aadhar Card No.,

(j) SC/ST/OBC/Diffcrently abled status, self-attested soft copies of all documents/ testimonials latest by 5th February 2022 through e-mail to: [email protected] and must contain a CV including a research statement and a teaching statement.

2. Candidates should arrange for two reference letter(s) to be sent directly to [email protected] by 8th February 2022 from persons who can comment on his/her doctoral and/or Post- Doctoral work(s) including one from his/her Ph.D. supervisor(s).

3. The selected candidate will be posted in Kolkata or Bangalore or Chennai. At the time of joining, selected candidate has to produce all relevant documents/testimonials in original for verification and a medical certificate of fitness from the Medical Officer of the Institute.

4. Failing this, the institute will offer the position to the next candidate in the merit list prepared for this purpose. The candidates, who would be shortlisted, need to make an open presentation followed by interaction with the selectors.

5. All recruitment procedures will be carried out with maintaining of all preventive measures to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 Global epidemic as directed by the Government of India.

6. The selected candidates are expected to collaborate with the faculty of the Applied Statistics Division.

7. The selected candidate needs to submit a written report to the Professor-in-Charge, Applied Statistics Division and the Deputy Director of भारतीय सांख्यिकी संस्थान about the work done after the completion of the tenure.
