भारतीय सांख्यिकी संस्थान (ISI), Kolkata is inviting applications for the recruitment of two (02) Project linked Research Associates purely on temporary basis to work at the Centre for Soft Computing Research, भारतीय सांख्यिकी संस्थान, Kolkata in a "National Science Chair" Project of SERB, Government of India titled "Granular Computing, Deep Learning and Data Analytics: Integration, Interpretability and Trustability.

1. Position: Project Linked Research Associates

2. No of Posts: 02

3. Qualification: Ph.D. (with good academic record) in Computer Science/ Engineering, Electronics/ Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or related areas, with good publications and good knowledge in Computer Programming. Those who have submitted Ph.D. thesis and are yet to receive their Ph.D. degree may also apply.

4. Pay: Rs. 47,000/- (Rupees forty seven thousand only) per month (consolidated with no other allowances).

5. Tenure of Appointment: The appointment will initially be for one year from the date of his/her joining the Institute which may be extended later/ terminated earlier, depending on availability of funds and performance of the candidates.

6. Research Areas: Pattern Recognition, Image/ Video Processing, Data Mining, Deep Learning, Soft Computing, and/or related domains.

चयन प्रकिया: अभ्यर्थी का चयन लिखित परीक्षा एवं साक्षात्कार में उनके प्रदर्शन के आधार पर किया जाएगा।

1. Eligible and interested candidates are required to fill up the form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/lGhXZFu8yBlyGHiNoNAFiCqvaKVw-C_B66jaDDDv... and upload self attested copies of all documents/ testimonials/ photo identity with current resume, a research proposal (maximum two pages) in the aforesaid areas that the applicant would like to pursue, in case selected, and a covering letter addressed to the Deputy Director, भारतीय सांख्यिकी संस्थान latest by 21 January 2022.

2. The current resume (signed) requires to include:

(a) Namc (In block letters),

(b) Permanent/ Present Address,

(d) Telephone/MobiIc No.,

(e) Parcnt's/Spouse's Name,

(f) Date of birth,

(g) Academic Qualifications (with percentage of marks obtained in each examination starting from 10th class),

(h) Date of submission of the Ph.D. thesis and date of receipt of the degree,

(i) Reprints/ preprints of publications,

(j) अनुभव and Publications with a 2-pages proposed research proposal in the aforesaid areas,

(k) Aadhar Card No.,

(l) SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled status.

3. At the time of joining, selected candidate has to produce all relevant documents/testimonials in original for verification and a medical certificate of fitness from the Medical Officer of the Institute. Failing this, the institute will offer the position to the next candidate in the merit list prepared for this purpose.

4. The shortlisted candidates would be asked to give a seminar followed by an interaction with the committee/ faculty. CVs with incomplete information or without supporting documents will be summarily rejected. All recruitment procedures will be carried out by maintaining all preventive measures to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 global pandemic as directed by the Government of India.
