IIT Kanpur invites online applications from Indian Nationals including Persons of Indian Origins (PIOs) and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) for appointment on temporary & contractual basis for a maximum period of five years, for the following posts at the Institutes:

1. Post Name: Research Establishment Officer (Grade I)

3. Department: National Wind Tunnel Facility

4. Pay Scale : Rs.67,700-2,08,700

5. Minimum Qualification: B.Tech. or B.S. or B.E. in Mechanical Engineering with 5 (five) years अनुभव in the field of wind tunnel testing ORM.Tech. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering with 3 (three) years अनुभव in the field of wind tunnel testing OR Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering

6. Desirable: B. Tech. or B.E. in Mechanical Engineering with 10 (ten) years अनुभव in the field of wind tunnel testing OR M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering with 5 (five) years अनुभव in the field of wind tunnel testing OR Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with 3 (three) years. The candidate should have अनुभव in the area, relevant to wind tunnel testing, project planning and execution of projects. He/She must have a proven record of accomplishment of leadinga team in the area of wind tunnel testing including project management.

a. The candidate should have अनुभव on handling various aerospace projects such intake study, force and pressure measurements on different aerospace vehicles in a wind tunnel. He/She should have hands-on अनुभव to experimentation using the various techniques such as particle image velocimetry (PIV), Hot-wire anemometry, Force balance, Pressure scanner, etc. He/She should have hands on अनुभव in setting up/programming data acquisition systems and flow visualization techniques, and must have good knowledge and working अनुभव in Labview, Matlab, Tecplot for data analysis, processing and interpretation of results.

7. Job Specification: Measurement Techniques (Force Balance, Pressure system, Hot wire Anemometry) Experimental studies on aerospace vehicles/Fluid Mechanics
