शैक्षणिक योग्यता (Educational Qualifications): B.Tech/B.E, MBBS, M.Sc, M.E/M.Tech, MVSC

Applications are invited from motivated and eligible candidates for the position of Project AssociateI in the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) funded research project entitled “Spatio-spectral Deconvolution of Hyperspectral images”.

2. Objectives of the Project:

i. Hyperspectral imaging (HSI) senses many contiguous narrow-band spectral channels (typically, hundreds) while maintaining adequate spatial resolution

ii. It makes HSI extensively useful in several real-world applications like segmentation, land cover classification, crop monitoring, object detection, mineral identification and weather analysis.

iii. As a downside, the acquired HSI is corrupted by the inevitable hyperspectral sensor noise and data acquisition process. Moreover, the storing HSI demands huge space as each pixel in HSI senses many spectral bands and each scene contains a large number of pixels.

iv. The proposed project aims to mitigate these issues, thereby improving the efficacy of HSI in real-world applications.

3. Duration:

Initial appointment is for one year, which is extendable further based on performance. The appointment is co-terminus with the project. The Selected candidate may be considered, through a separate process, for admission to the Ph.D. Programme as a regular full-time scholar as per the Institute norms.

4. Emolument: The emolument per month for the position is: INR 31000/- + 18% HRA (if hostel accommodation is not provided)

5. Qualification: Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/MVSc or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent. Preference will be given to the candidates:

i. whose B.E./B.Tech. are in relevant branches of Engineering/Technology like Computer Science & Engineering (CSE).

ii. who have at least 2 years of post- B.E./B.Tech., research/teaching अनुभव as evidence from published papers in standard refereed journals.

iii. who have M.E./M.Tech. in relevant branches of Engineering/Technology like CSE with GATE Qualification.

Selection Procedure
