Skills / Eligibility

The Institute has an active Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship (PDRF) Program to enable highly motivated young researchers to conduct research in the frontier areas of Science and Technology and inviting applications from Indian Nationals for the following position:

1. Post Nme: Post-Doctoral Research Fellow (PDRF)

2. No. of Post: 01

3. Name of the Project: Mechanistic Insights of Nitrite Reductase (NiR) & Nitric Oxide Monooxygenation (NOM) Reactions: Exploring the Interconversion of Nitric Oxide and Nitrite

4. Funding Agency Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB), Govt. of India

5. Research Area (Bio)-inorganic, Inorganic/Organic-catalysis & coordination Chemistry

6. Minimum qualifications: Ph.D. degree in the field of Experimental chemistry (Bio- inorganic, Catalysis.) or Theoretical chemistry Candidates who have submitted their thesis and awaiting awardof Ph.D. degree may also apply. Candidates should provide evidence of having carried out high guality research during or after their Ph. D. program. Co-ordination Chemistry. Inorganic/Organic

7. Fellowship: Rs. 47,000/- p.m. +8 % HRA, if the candidate produces the Ph.D. Certificate. Rs. 35,000/- p.m. + 8 % HRA - for those candidates whose Ph. D.degree is awaited. However, the candidate must produce a letterfrom competent authority stating that the thesis has been submitted and the final viva/defense is pending. Nominal research grant will be available under this program.

4. The applicant will be responsible for the authenticity of information / documents and photograph submitted. It is the responsibility of the candidate to assess his / her own eligibilityto the post(s) for which he / she is appearing in accordance to this advertisement. If it is detected at any time in future, during the process of selection or even after appointment that the candidate was not eligible as per the prescribed eligibility criteria in this advertisement which could not be detected at the time of selection for whatsoever reason,his/her candidature/appointment shall be liable to be cancelled/terminated immediately.
