Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore invites applications for EHS Officer – Chemical Safety in the Office of Laboratory Safety and Environmental Health (OLSEH). The details are as follows:

1. Name of the post: EHS Officer
2. Essential Qualification:
a. Three- or Four - year Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering or EHS/Safety.
b. Candidate should have passed a PG Diploma in Safety from a recognized Degree granting institution or body. This criterion is relaxable for candidates with a Four - year Bachelor’s Degree or a Master’s Degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or related disciplines.
3. Desirable Qualification:
a. Two years of अनुभव in chemical safety and in developing procedures for safe handling of chemicals in industry/ academic institutions/ regulatory body / laboratory. OR
b. Master's degree or a higher degree in chemistry/chemical engineering or related disciplines.
4. Monthly Emoluments: Expected to be in the range of Rs. 28,000 - 56,000 per month + 24% HRA, depending on qualifications and अनुभव.
5. Duration: Engagement is purely temporary on contract basis for a period of 2 years, on a probation period of four months from the date of your reporting for duty, may be extended for a further period based on satisfactory performance.

Selection Procedure
Call letters to attend interview will be sent only to the shortlisted candidates by mail. Candidates are required to check their registered e-mail ID frequently. No correspondence will be made with applicants who are not short-listed/not called for interview.
