शैक्षणिक योग्यता (Educational Qualifications): 10TH
Applications from eligible candidates are invited for the following posts to be filled on direct recruitment basis as indicated below:

2. No of Post: 53
3. Location: Ratnagiri, Daman
4. वेतन: PB-1 Rs.5200- 20200 + Rs.1900/- (GP) (prerevised) and Revised Pay Matrix Level 2, Rs. 19,900/-
5. Qualification:
(a) Matriculation pass from a recognized Board or equivalent.
(b) Should be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties.

आयु सीमा (Age Limit): 18 to 27 years (Relaxable for Govt servants in the case of general candidates upto 40 years and in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes upto 45 years as per instructions or order of the Govt from time to time)
Selection Procedure
1. The selection of candidates will be based only on the merit in written examination. However, the skill / physical tests wherever required will be conducted, but will only be qualifying in nature with no bearing on the overall merit. Exact date, time and venue of written examination, skill / practical test will be communicated vide call letter issued to the short listed candidates.
(i) Written test :
Written test is to be conducted for Group ‘C’ and upgraded Group ‘C’ posts. The qualifying marks in written exam is 50% and the candidates who qualify the written test are to be shortlisted for the trade test (where applicable). In case of SC and ST candidates, the qualifying marks shall be 45%. No relaxation in qualifying marks is admissible to OBC and EWS candidates.
(ii) Trade / Skill Test :
Trade/skill tests are devised to check the performance / aptitude of a candidate for the said trade. Separate skill tests are to be administered for each trade. The candidates who qualify the written test are to appear for the trade/skill test. The trade/skill test wherever required will only be qualifying in nature and shall have no bearing on the overall merit.

चयन प्रकिया: अभ्यर्थी का चयन लिखित परीक्षा एवं साक्षात्कार में उनके प्रदर्शन के आधार पर किया जाएगा।

4. For posts in units at Kochi : The Commander, No.4 Coast Guard District (Kerala & Mahe) Kelvatthy Fort, Fort Kochi - 682 001
5. For posts in units at Goa : The Commander, No.11 Coast Guard District Headquarters (Goa), 4 th floor, MPT Old Admin Bldg., Mormugao Harbour, Goa-403 803
6. For posts in units at Kavaratti : The Commander, No.12 Coast Guard District (Kavaratti), Kavaratti Island, UT of Lakshadweep - 682555
7. For the posts at Daman : The Commanding Officer, Coast Guard Air Station Daman, Nani Daman, Daman – 396210
8. The envelope containing the application must be superscripted as ‘Application for the post of.
9. Application should be submitted by Ordinary Post only. Application send by Speed Post / Registered Post / Courier will not be entertained.
10. Self attested copies of educational certificate, age proof, driving license for CMTD(OG) for both heavy and light vehicles, Trade certificate as required, certificate for EWS/OBC/SC/ST and अनुभव certificate, if any, should be enclosed with the application.
11. Proforma with regard to Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) is placed at Candidates in Central Govt. service should submit NOC from their present employer alongwith applications. Crucial date for fixation of age limit will be the last date of receiving applications.
12. The decision of the Commander, Coast Guard Region (West), Worli Sea Face P.O. Worli Colony, Mumbai – 400 030 regarding selection/rejection will be final and no correspondence will be made on rejection of the application.

भारतीय तटरक्षक की स्थापना शांतिकाल में भारतीय समुद्र की सुरक्षा करने के उद्देश्य से 18 अगस्त 1978 को संघ के एक स्वतंत्र सशस्त्र बल के रूप में संसद द्वारा तटरक्षक अधिनियम,1978 के अंतर्गत की गई। ‘’वयम् रक्षाम: याने हम रक्षा करते हैं’’ भारतीय तटरक्षक का आदर्श वाक्य है। वर्तमान में इस बल की कमान इसके महानिदेशक वाइस एडमिरल अनुराग जी थपलियाल, के हाथ में हैं।
भारत में तटरक्षक का आविर्भाव, समुद्र में भारत के राष्ट्रीय क्षेत्राधिकार के भीतर राष्ट्रीय विधियों को लागू करने तथा जीवन और संपति की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए एक नई सेवा के तौर पर 01 फ़रवरी 1977 को हुआ था। इस बात की आवश्यकता महसूस की गई कि नौसेना को इसके युद्धकालीन कार्यों के लिए अलग रखा जाना चाहिए तथा विधि प्रवर्तन के उत्तरदायित्व के लिए एक अलग सेवा का गठन किया जाए, जोकि पूर्णरूप से सुसज्जित तथा विकसित राष्ट्र जैसे संयुक्त राज्य अमरीका, संयुक्त राज्य इत्यादि के तटरक्षकों के तर्ज पर बनाई गई हो।
