भर्ती Of Sportspersons - 2022 Advertisement No. – SPRT /04/2022 INDIAN BANK, a leading Public Sector Bank, with headquarters in Chennai having geographical presence all over India and abroad invites applications from Indian citizens for the post of Clerk / Officer in JMG Scale I in the following Sports discipline under Sports Quota. 1. Position: Clerk / Officer 2. Vacancies: 12 3. Discipline: i., Athletics (For track events only – 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m) 4. Cadre: Officer JMG Scale-I i. Educational Qualification: Pass in XII Standard examination or equivalent as the case may be ii. Sports Qualification: Should have represented the country For cricket “Should have represented the country or should have played Ranji Trophy or Duleep Trophy iii. Officer JMG Scale I – Rs.36000 -1490/7 – 46430 – 1740/2 – 49910 - 1990/7 – 63840 5. Cadre: Clerks i. Educational Qualification: Pass in XII Standard examination or equivalent as the case may be ii. Sports Qualification: Should have represented the State in junior / senior Nationals / National games or Should have been a member of the Combined Universities Team or Should have been a member of the University team in an Inter university event and should be in the top three positions or Should have been a member of the district team and took part in Inter district championship and should be in the first three positions iii. आयु सीमा (Age Limit): 18 to 26 years. The maximum age limit i.e 26 years is applicable to General / EWS category candidates
Selection Procedure
1. There will be screening of applications and candidates possessing requisite qualification will be called for trials in the ratio 1:10.
2. Selection in Officer Cadre will be through screening of application, conduct of Trials in the respective sport followed by Interview.
3. Selection in Clerical cadre will be through screening of applications and conduct of Trials. (Interview will not be there for Clerical Cadre).
4. At all the stages of selection, viz. screening of applications / Trials / Interview / Merit List if in case two candidates getting the same mark they will be ranked based on age i.e. junior candidate will be given higher rank.
5. Interview is applicable for Officer Cadre selection only and candidates found fit in the Trial alone will be considered for interview. The maximum number of candidates to be called for interview vis-à-vis vacancies will be in the ratio of 3:1.
6. Merit list will be drawn by combining the marks scored by the candidates in the above mentioned stages of selection.

चयन प्रकिया: अभ्यर्थी का चयन लिखित परीक्षा एवं साक्षात्कार में उनके प्रदर्शन के आधार पर किया जाएगा।
1. Before applying, Candidates should ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria for the post. The Candidates are requested to apply online through Bank’s website in the careers page www.indianbank.in.
2. Submission of Applications Opening Date: 30.04.2022
3. Submission of Applications Closing Date: 14.05.2022
4. Detailed guidelines/procedures for:

5. Candidates can apply through online only from 30.04.2022 to 14.05.2022. No other mode of application will be accepted.
6. Important points to be noted before registration Before applying online, candidates should:
a. Scan their photograph and signature ensuring that both the photograph and signature adhere to the required specifications as given in Annexure I to this advertisement.
b. Have a valid personal email ID and mobile number, which should be kept active till the completion of this भर्ती Process. Bank may send call letters for the Trials / Interview etc. through the registered e-mail ID and related information in mobile number. Candidates are advised to keep their e-mail ID active for receiving advices, viz. call letters / Trials, Interview date advices etc.
c. If the communication sent to registered e-Mail ID / mobile number, fails to get delivered for any reason Bank will not take any responsibility.
d. Candidates to visit the Bank‟s website www.indianbank.in and click on the ‘Career’ and then under भर्ती of Sports Persons – 2022 section, click on “Apply Online”.
