3. Qualification अनुभव: M.D. / D.N.B. (Pathology) or equivalent postgraduate degree in Pathology recognized by National Medical Commission with minimum 3 years post MD / D.N.B. अनुभव in Pathology. अनुभव in Onco-Pathology, Cytology and / or Molecular Pathology is desirable. Candidates with less than 3 years' अनुभव after post-graduation will be considered for lower grade (i.e. Ad-hoc Lecturer), if there are no suitably अनुभवd candidates.
4. Consolidated वेतन:
a) Rs.1,20,000/- per month (Rupees one lakh twenty thousand only) for Ah-hoc Asst. Professor (with 3 years post PG अनुभव)
b) Rs. 1,06,000/- per month (Rupees one lakh six thousand only) for Ad-hoc Lecturer (with more than 2 years post PG अनुभव)
c) Rs.1,03,000/- per month (Rupees one lakh three thousand only) for Ad-hoc Lecturer (with more than 1 year post PG अनुभव)

Dr. Bhubaneswar Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI) was set up by a voluntary organization called ‘Dr. B. Borooah Cancer Society Trust’. Dr. Bhubaneswar Borooah (4th September 1893 – 25th September 1956) was a great physician, freedom fighter and philanthropist of Assam. In 1958 at a public meeting in Guwahati, a decision was taken to set up a cancer hospital at Guwahati to commemorate the memory of Dr. Bhubaneswar Borooah. Late Debendra Nath Sarma was the Founder President and Late Dr. Kanak Chandra Borooah, illustrious brother of Dr. Bhubaneswar Borooah was the Founder Secretary. Late Bimala Prasad Chaliha, Mahendra Mohan Choudhury, Bishnuram Medhi, Dr. Ghanashyam Das, Dr Birendra Nath Choudhury and many others worked relentlessly for the development of the Institute since its inception.
