शैक्षणिक योग्यता (Educational Qualifications): 10TH
It is proposed to fill up 28 (Twenty Eight) vacancies of Staff Car चालक (Ordinary Grade) pertaining to the vacancy years 2018, 2019 and 2020 (General Central Service, Gr.-C, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial) in Level 2 of Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC (Rs. 19900-63200/-) at the office of the Senior Manager, Mail Motor Services, Kolkata700015 on Deputation/Absorption from Department of Posts, failing which by Deputation/Absorption from other Ministries/Departments or Deputation/Reemployment of Armed Forces Personnel.
1. Name of the Post: Staff Car चालक (Ordinary Grade)
2. No of Post: 28
3. Eligibility Conditions:
(i) Deputation/ Absorption of officials in the Department of Posts: From amongst the regular Dispatch Rider (Group C) and Group C employees in Level 1 of the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC in the Department of Posts who possess valid Driving License for light and heavy motor vehicle on the basis of a Trade test/Driving test to assess the competency to drive light and heavy Motor vehicle.
(ii) Other Ministries of the Central Government and Armed Forces Personnel: From officials holding the post of Dispatch Rider on regular basis or regular Group C employees in Level 1 of the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC who fulfills the necessary qualifications prescribed as under:
(a) Possession of a valid Driving License for light and heavy motor vehicles;
(b) Knowledge of Motor Mechanism (The candidate should be able to remove minor defects in vehicle);
(c) अनुभव of driving Light and Heavy motor vehicle for at least three years;
(d) Pass in 10th Standard from a recognized Board or Institute.
(iii) For Ex-servicemen: The Armed Forces Personnel due to retire or who are to be transferred to reserve within a period of one year and having the requisite अनुभव and qualifications prescribed shall also be considered. Such persons would be given deputation terms up to the date on which they are due for release from Armed Forces; thereafter they may be continued on re-employment.
4. Regulation of pay and other terms of deputation: Level 2 of the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC (Rs. 19900- 63200/-). Pay will regulated as per rules.
5. Period of deputation: The period of deputation including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other Department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed 03 (three) years.
6. Reservation for SC/ST: No provision for reservation exists for the posts to be filled up on deputation/ absorption basis.
7. Period of Probation: Two years for re-employed.

आवेदन करने का तरीका (How to apply)
चयन प्रकिया: अभ्यर्थी का चयन लिखित परीक्षा एवं साक्षात्कार में उनके प्रदर्शन के आधार पर किया जाएगा।
1. The required documents mentioned in the notification along with relevant documents in support of qualification and अनुभव, may be forwarded to “The Senior Manager, Mail Motor Services, 139, Beleghata Road, Kolkata-700015”, through proper channel within 30 days from the date of publication of notification in the Employment News. The envelope of the applications should be duly superscripted with “Application for the post of staff Car चालक (Departmental)”.
2. Applications not forwarded through proper channel or those received without the requisite certificates and necessary documents or received after last date will not be entertained. The trade test will be conducted as per pattern and syllabus prescribed by the Dte. Vide no. 08-01/2019-SPN-1 dated 06.05.2020. The requisite details with regards to age limit, eligibility qualification, अनुभव, application format, syllabus and other terms & conditions are available on the website ‘www.indiapost.gov.in’.
3. The candidates who apply for the post will not be allowed to withdraw their candidature subsequently.

भारतीय डाक सेवा (India Post) भारत सरकार द्वारा संचालित डाकसेवा है जो ब्रांड नाम के तौर पर इंडिया पोस्ट या भारतीय डाक के नाम से काम करती है। भारतीय डाक प्रणाली का जो उन्नत और परिष्कृत स्वरूप आज हमारे सामने है, वह हजारों सालों के लंबे सफर की देन है। अंग्रेजों ने डेढ़ सौ साल पहले अलग-अलग हिस्सों में अपने तरीके से चल रही डाक व्यवस्था को एक सूत्र में पिरोने की जो पहल की, उसने भारतीय डाक को एक नया रूप और रंग दिया। पर अंग्रेजों की डाक प्रणाली उनके सामरिक और व्यापारिक हितों पर केंद्रित थी। भारत की आजादी के बाद हमारी डाक प्रणाली को आम आदमी की जरूरतों को केंद्र में रख कर विकसित करने का नया दौर शुरू हुआ। नियोजित विकास प्रक्रिया ने ही भारतीय डाक को दुनिया की सबसे बड़ी और बेहतरीन डाक प्रणाली बनाया है। राष्ट्र निर्माण में भी डाक विभाग ने ऐतिहासिक भूमिका निभाई है और इसकी उपयोगिता लगातार बनी हुई है। आम आदमी डाकघरों और पोस्टमैन पर अगाध भरोसा करता है। तमाम उतार-चढ़ाव के बावजूद इतना जन विश्वास कोई और संस्था नहीं अर्जित कर सकी है। यह स्थिति कुछ सालों में नहीं बनी है। इसके पीछे बरसों का श्रम और सेवा छिपी है।
