कोचीन शिपयार्ड लिमिटेड Limited, a listed premier Mini Ratna Company of Government of India, invites Online Applications from candidates fulfilling the eligibility requirements, for filling up of the following Supervisory posts:

Seven years post qualification अनुभव in electrical works in a Shipyard or Dockyard or Engineering Company or Government Establishment, out of which two years should be in supervising electrical works and workmen. OR ITI(NTC) Certificate and National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the trade of Electrician with 22 years of अनुभव in electrical works in a Shipyard or Dockyard or Engineering Company or Government Establishment.

2. Educational Qualification & अनुभव: 

a) Three-year Diploma in Electronics Engineering/Electronics & Communication Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education. Seven years post qualification अनुभव in electronics works in a Shipyard or Dockyard or Engineering Company or Government Establishment, out of which two years should be in supervising electronics works and workmen. OR

b) ITI(NTC) Certificate and National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the trade of Electronic Mechanic with 22 years of अनुभव in electronics works in a Shipyard or Dockyard or Engineering Company or Government Establishment.

3. Grade and Pay Scale: PS –I Rs.28000-3%-110000

2. Educational Qualification & अनुभव: 

a) Three year Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering/Instrumentation & Control Engineering/Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering/Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education. Seven years post qualification अनुभव in instrumentation works in a Shipyard or Dockyard or Engineering Company or Government Establishment, out of which two years should be in supervising instrumentation works and workmen. OR

b) ITI(NTC) Certificate and National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the trade of Instrument Mechanic with 22 years of अनुभव in instrumentation works in a Shipyard or Dockyard or Engineering Company of Government Establishment.

OR

b) ITI(NTC) Certificate and National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the trade of Sheet Metal Worker with 22 years of अनुभव in structural fittings works in a Shipyard or Dockyard or Engineering Company or Government Establishment.

3. Grade and Pay Scale: PS –I Rs.28000-3%-110000

2. Educational Qualification & अनुभव: Three-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education. Seven years post qualification अनुभव in pipe fitting works in a Shipyard or Dockyard or Engineering Company or Government Establishment, out of which two years should be in supervising piping works and workmen. OR ITI(NTC) Certificate and National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the trade of Fitter Pipe / Plumber with 22 years of अनुभव in pipe fitting work in a Shipyard or Dockyard or Engineering Company or Government Establishment.

3. Grade and Pay Scale: PS –I Rs.28000-3%-110000

1. Name of Post, Grade & No. of Vacancies: सहायक अभियंता (Engineering) 3 Posts (2 UR, 1 OBC)

2. Educational Qualification & अनुभव: Three-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education. Seven years post qualification अनुभव in machinery engineering works in a Shipyard or Dockyard or Engineering Company or Government Establishment, out of which two years should be in supervising engineering works and workmen. OR ITI(NTC) Certificate and National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the trade of Mechanic Diesel with 22 years of अनुभव in machinery engineering works in Shipyard or Dockyard or Engineering Company or Government Establishment.

3. Grade and Pay Scale: PS –I Rs.28000-3%-110000

1. Name of Post, Grade & No. of Vacancies: सहायक अभियंता (Painting) 2 Posts (1 UR, 1 OBC,)

2. Educational Qualification & अनुभव: 

(I) a) Degree in Chemistry OR Three-year Diploma in any branch of Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education.

b) NACE or FROSIO level-I Inspector qualification.

c) Seven years post qualification अनुभव in painting works in a Shipyard or Dockyard or Engineering Company or Government Establishment. OR 

(II) ITI(NTC) Certificate and National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the trade of Painter with 22 years of अनुभव in painting works in Shipyard or Dockyard or Engineering Company or Government Establishment.

3. Grade and Pay Scale: PS –I Rs.28000-3%-110000

1. Name of Post, Grade & No. of Vacancies: सहायक अभियंता (Information Technology) 1 post (UR)

2. Educational Qualification & अनुभव: 

a) Three year Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Computer Application securing minimum of 60% marks from a recognised University. OR

b) Three year Diploma in Computer Engineering / Information Technology securing minimum of 60% marks from a State Board of Technical Education.

3. Desirable: A valid certification from reputed agencies or organizations on Networking/Systems Management.

4. अनुभव : Seven years post qualification अनुभव in IT department/section of a Government/ SemiGovernment Company or Establishment/Public Sector Undertaking/Private Company, out of which two years should be in a supervisory grade.

5. Grade and Pay Scale: PS –I Rs.28000-3%-110000

Selection Procedure

a) The method of selection shall include :-

(i) Phase I - Online test (Objective Type – 40 Marks & Descriptive type – 40 Marks) 

(ii) Phase II - Power point presentation on work अनुभव (20 Marks) b) The Objective type Online test shall be of 45 minutes duration and consists of two parts - General (Part A) and Discipline related (Part

B). Part A comprises of General Knowledge, General English, Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude. The Descriptive type written test shall be of 40 marks, 90 minutes duration comprising of Subject based questions.

c) Depending upon the number of online applications, the Phase I shall be held at Kochi or at any place in Kerala as decided by CSL and also other than through online mode. The allocation of examination centre shall be at the sole discretion of CSL.

d) The merit list for each post shall be prepared on the basis of marks secured by candidates in the Phase -I. In case, same marks secured by more than one candidate, marks scored in the discipline part of the Objective type test shall be the basis of determining the order of merit list. In case of a tie thereafter, relative merit shall be decided based on seniority in age.

e) Candidates scoring the minimum marks as given below in the objective type test and in the descriptive type test shall be considered for certificate verification. General candidates – 50 % of Total Marks of each test OBC candidates – 45 % of Total Marks of each test SC/ST/PwBD candidates – 40 % of Total Marks of each test

f) Only those candidates who successfully complete the certificate verification shall be shortlisted to attend the Phase-II. For posts at Sl Nos. 1 to 3 and 7 to 12 of item A above, short list will be prepared in the ratio of 10 candidates against one post in the order of merit. For posts at Sl Nos. 4 to 6, the candidates in the ratio of 6 candidates against one post shall be shortlisted for Phase II. For such shortlisting, candidates belonging to reserved category in the merit list shall also be counted against merit as well as reservation post.

g) Phase II (Power Point Presentation), shall be held at CSL, Kochi, or any other location as decided by CSL or through electronic media in view of Covid-19 pandemic situation. Power Point Presentation shall be of duration not more than ten minutes highlighting the work अनुभव of candidates.

h) Rank lists of candidates who qualified in all the phases shall be prepared based on the total marks secured by the candidates in Phase I & Phase II. In case, same aggregate marks is secured by more than one candidate, marks scored in the discipline part of the Objective type test shall be the basis of determining the order of mark list. In case of a tie thereafter, relative merit shall be decided based on seniority in age.

i) Depending upon the number of online applications received, CSL reserves the right to scrutinise applications for various posts and prepare shortlist of candidates based on meeting eligibility requirements ascertained through the certificates uploaded by the applicants in the online application portal and only such shortlisted candidates may be permitted to attend the selection process.
