Skills / Eligibility

Applications are invited from eligible candidates in the prescribed format to act as “SagarMitra: under PradhanMantriMatsyaSampadaYojana on contractual basis in the coastal fishing villages of South Andaman.

1. Post Name: SagarMitra

2. No. of Post: 29

3. Location of Engagement: All coastal fishing villages of South Andaman

4. Essential Qualification: Fisheries professional possessing a minimum Bachelor degree in Fisheries Science/ Marine Biology/ Zoology. Knowledge of information Technology(IT) is essential.

5. Eligibility criteria Preferably a local resident of South Andaman village of age not more than 35 years, who has effective communication skills in local language.

6. Consolidated Pay To provide fixed incentive of Rs. 15,000/- per month

चयन प्रकिया: अभ्यर्थी का चयन लिखित परीक्षा एवं साक्षात्कार में उनके प्रदर्शन के आधार पर किया जाएगा।

1. Last date for receipt of application: Filled in application in the prescribed format should reach the Office of the Assistant Director of Fisheries, Zonal Fisheries Office, South Andaman by hand or by post on or before 30/03/2022 by 3.00 PM at the address detailed below: South Andaman District: Assistant Director of Fisheries Zonal Fisheries Office, South Andaman Phoenix Bay, Port Blair- 744101

2. The candidates who have already applied earlier in response to the vacancy notice published vide No. 4-7(R)/2021-22/TS/DF/1737dtd. 6th December 2021 need not apply. However, those candidates who have not submitted the requisite documents regarding proof of IT qualification may submit their documents, if any, at the Zonal Fisheries office, South Andaman on or before 30/03/2022.

Each district is headed by a Deputy Commissioner, in charge of the various local administrative service departments, assisted by several Assistant Commissioners and sundry other posts. These three districts are further sub-divided into tehsils, which are also grouped into local Sub-Divisions.
